"Don't—"
The scream cut off abruptly, the pen tip stopping less than a millimeter from Wang Ziheng's neck.
With one hand, Mo Fei clutched Wang Ziheng by the throat and pinned him firmly against the wall.
With the other, he gripped the pen tightly, aiming it at Wang Ziheng's neck.
"Say that again, you bastard. I didn't hear you clearly just now. What the hell did you say? You're going to sue me, right? Take me to court, right? Ruin me completely, right? Say it again, you fucking bastard! If you've got the balls, say it again! Now—right now!"
With every roar, he pressed an inch closer to Wang Ziheng. By the final sentence, he was practically shouting in Wang Ziheng's face, spraying saliva across it. Wang Ziheng did not dare move an inch.
"You... you wouldn't dare..."
Mo Fei exerted force, and the sharp pen tip pierced straight through the skin on Wang Ziheng's neck.
The pain in his neck made Wang Ziheng go pale, and he could not finish the rest of his sentence.
He looked fearfully into Mo Fei's eyes. Mo Fei stood with his back to the lights, and perhaps it was the lighting, but his eyes appeared blood-red, like burning flames. They were filled with bloodthirsty brutality and a desire to kill. Wang Ziheng had no doubt that if he dared say another word, Mo Fei would stab without hesitation and drive the entire pen into his head.
"Talk." Mo Fei's voice was cold. "Keep talking!"
The supervisor and lawyer were both dumbfounded. They wanted to step forward and stop him, but neither dared move. All they could do was stand nearby and repeatedly urge him not to act rashly.
At the same time, a low voice kept murmuring in Mo Fei's ear, whispering and urging him to do it.
(Stab him. Stab him!)
"Mo Fei, don't do anything rash!"
(Stab him. Kill him! He deserves to die!)
"Call security!"
"Shut up! Don't provoke him!"
(What are you waiting for? Kill him! These despicable mortals, these tiny ants—let them know how powerful you are!)
"Listen to me, Mo Fei. It hasn't reached that point yet. We can talk this out!"
(Do it already—useless trash!)
Mo Fei did not stab him. He was furious, he was insane, but he had not lost his reason. Every explosive act had a purpose, and self-destruction was not the outcome he wanted.
When his fury reached its peak, he suddenly became calm instead.
Reality was not a game. Killing Wang Ziheng would not bring him ultimate victory.
But he could not let the other man go, either. Things had already reached this point. If he did not force an outcome, he really would be finished.
"Talk. Weren't you so good at talking just now? Explain to me exactly what's going on. Why aren't you talking anymore?"
Mo Fei looked at Wang Ziheng mockingly. "Since you won't speak, how about I do? I'm not giving you the account, and I'm not paying the fine. I won't give you a single cent. You want to sue me, use the law to crush me, play capital games with me. I admit it—I can't beat you at capital games. But I'll only play one kind of game with you: life for life.
"You said I don't understand the power of capital. Then tell me—which one of us has more power right now?"
Mo Fei slowly moved the pen tip upward, drawing an ink streak across Wang Ziheng's pale face before finally aiming it at his eye. Wang Ziheng was too frightened to speak, watching helplessly as the pen tip stopped only millimeters from his eye.
The supervisor was still trying to persuade him from the side. "Mo Fei, don't be impulsive. We can talk this out."
Without turning his head, Mo Fei continued staring at Wang Ziheng. "Talk it out, right? Fine. I drafted an agreement too. The terms are simple: we part ways peacefully. I leave Starlight Company, the game account remains mine, and the contract ends here. From now on, we stay out of each other's business. How about it?"
"Yes, absolutely. Just let Young Master Wang go first."
Mo Fei looked at Wang Ziheng. "Well, Young Master Wang? Say something. My agreement is much fairer than yours, isn't it? Nod if you agree."
Wang Ziheng nodded slightly.
Then the room fell into an awkward silence.
Mo Fei looked at everyone's stiff expressions and suddenly burst into laughter.
"Hahahaha, look how scared you all are. I was just joking with President Wang, right, President Wang?" As he spoke, he put away the pen, though he did not loosen his grip on Wang Ziheng.
Wang Ziheng glared at him. What kind of joke was that? Who the hell are you trying to fool? But he did not dare make a sound, afraid of provoking him.
Mo Fei looked deeply apologetic. "Oh, President Wang, why are you angry? Look at this mess. I was just joking with you. Why can't you take a joke? You're actually mad—oh, why is your neck bleeding? Did I do that? I'm really sorry. How about this? Stab me once, and we'll call it even. What do you say?"
As he spoke, he actually stuffed the pen into Wang Ziheng's hand, then pulled open his shirt and exposed his chest. "Stab here. Put some force into it and drive it through. Stab me. Come on, fucking stab me." As he spoke, the hand gripping Wang Ziheng's neck suddenly tightened. The pain made Wang Ziheng jerk his hand forward. Pfft! The pen tip cut a bloody gash across Mo Fei's chest.
Wang Ziheng jumped in fright and loosened his hand. The pen clattered to the floor.
Mo Fei's expression instantly darkened again. He picked up the pen and looked coldly at Wang Ziheng. "Fuck, you actually stabbed me."
Wang Ziheng stared at him in shock. "You were the one who told me to stab you."
"If I told you to die, would you go die? I was talking to you nicely, and you stabbed me with a pen? Is that how you treat your employees? Your fingerprints are on this pen. Fuck, I'm calling the police right now. You even aimed for my heart—do you know that's attempted murder? Someone! Someone! Wang Ziheng tried to murder an employee!"
For a moment, the others did not know what to do. They had never expected Mo Fei to take the initiative to blow things up.
When Wang Ziheng saw that Mo Fei was actually reaching for his phone, an idea struck him. "No, no! You forced me to do it! I have witnesses! They can all testify for me."
"They're your employees, of course they'll side with you. Witnesses like that aren't worth much. You should just wait for prison, you bastard. No, a rich second-generation heir like you definitely has lawyers. I probably can't beat you then. How about I stab you once more, and we'll be even?
"Yeah, that's how we'll do it. We're both injured anyway. Even if this ends up in court, it'll just be mutual assault."
As he spoke, he examined Wang Ziheng from head to toe, as though considering where to strike.
Wang Ziheng was on the verge of tears. This was not how his script was supposed to go. "What exactly do you want?" he asked helplessly.
"What do I want!?" Mo Fei looked at him with a terrifying gaze. Suddenly, he grabbed his hair and yanked hard, forcing him onto the desk in an utterly humiliating position. The pen tip pressed against his chin and slowly pierced into his skin. Blood and ink dripped down together, a horrifying sight.
"You're asking me what I want? I fucking want to stab you to death. I made Starlight Company so much money, and this is how you treat me? You even want to go through legal channels? Have you got no shame? If you really want to use money to crush people, then offer a high price.
"You want my account, right? Fine. Ten million in compensation. Once the money's paid, the account is yours. You know damn well that price is letting you off cheap. You can't even cough up ten million, yet you pretend to be some rich second-generation capitalist? Those nouveau riche coal bosses are way more generous than you. They wouldn't even blink at offering ten million for a game account.
"If you want to show off, then bring the money. If you don't have it, stop fucking showing off in front of me. I may not have much money, and I definitely can't beat you at capital games, but I don't need all that bullshit. The little money I have is enough to find out where your family lives. Then we'll see how many lives in your family my one life can trade for.
"Now do you know exactly what I want? Hmm—Young Master Wang?"
Wang Ziheng's face was deathly pale as he nodded vigorously.
"So what are you planning to do about this? Give me a straight answer."
"Ten million. Cash for the game account." Wang Ziheng gritted his teeth.
Mo Fei was somewhat surprised. He had not expected this guy to be so stubborn. Even at a time like this, he was still thinking about the game account.
Then he felt that he had asked for too little. Before advancing, it had been ten million. After advancing, it should have been at least twelve and a half million.
But it did not matter...
He sneered. "Fine, then it's settled. Ten million. We'll sign the contract tomorrow. Once this is over, we go our separate ways. Of course, you can keep playing your capital games with me if you want. Then you'll see whether I've been joking with you.
"I'll keep this pen as a souvenir—now get lost!"
Mo Fei shoved Wang Ziheng to the floor, slipped the pen into his breast pocket, shook out his collar, and strode toward the exit.
The supervisor and lawyer hurriedly moved aside. But when Mo Fei stepped out of the office, he found several nighttime streamers peeking around the corner in the hallway.
When they saw Mo Fei, they all looked at him with admiration. As he walked down the hall, people rushed out from doors on both sides and watched him pass.
Some even secretly gave him a thumbs-up.
This was fucking incredible. It was practically an urban legend.
Mo Fei walked on with a blank expression, but the moment he left the floor where the company was located, his expression changed completely.
His hands were trembling, his heart was pounding wildly, and he felt his blood rushing to his head and his face burning. He had never expected things to reach this point.
The moment he regained his reason earlier, he had truly felt trapped with no way out, as if he were completely screwed. He had even nearly driven the pen in and ended everything once and for all.
Fortunately, he had managed to keep the situation under control in the end.
He just did not know whether things could truly end like this.
He entered the first-floor restroom, turned on the faucet, and filled the entire sink with cold water. He splashed it forcefully over his face, trying to calm himself down. His hands were still shaking. Earlier, when he held the pen, they had been steady as stone. Now, they trembled so badly he could not stop them.
"Coward."
Who said that!? He spun around alertly, but there was not a single person in the restroom.
Was it an illusion?
Just as he was about to leave, something caught the corner of his eye. A black shadow flashed past in the mirror beside him.
He whipped around, but saw nothing.
Whew. Just an illusion. Just an illusion.
He turned back to pull the sink plug, but the moment he lowered his head, he saw the enormous head of a Black Dragon grinning viciously at him through the water's surface.
