Signs of an explosion!
Signs of an explosion that had erupted from the inside out!
Under his Transcendent [Tracking] vision, no trace could escape Qin Ran's eyes, much less something as obvious as the marks of an explosion.
But what truly concerned Qin Ran were the traces hidden beneath those blast marks.
Qin Ran avoided the Dawn Family's people and carefully approached the blast site.
Once he was close enough, he clearly saw a trace unlike the rippling marks of the explosion: a deeply indented "point."
Clearly, this "point" was not a complete trace. The explosion had destroyed the rest, but that did not stop Qin Ran from using it to identify the original mark.
That "point" was simply too familiar.
Every time he lunged forward, pushing off with his toes, he left a half-footprint containing just such a "point."
The fact that this half-footprint had survived the explosion was enough to show how powerful-and how unimaginably concentrated-the force its owner had unleashed at that instant had been.
That immense force would undoubtedly have given its owner a corresponding burst of speed, while concentrating it would not only make them faster, but briefly eliminate any sound.
There were similar techniques in the [Dark Stealth Art].
Although Qin Ran had not truly mastered them, he knew enough for a scene to take shape in his mind-
A figure had silently infiltrated the Dawn Archduke's residence, then lurked in the shadows, patiently waiting for the target to appear.
The instant the target appeared, the attacker had lunged.
Fast, vicious, and silent.
Yet even so, when the real danger struck, the target had reacted.
The target had retaliated with everything they had.
And so the explosion had occurred.
Was the target the Dawn Archduke or his heir?
