Sitting in a seat on the Pseudo-Train, Qin Ran opened the invitation from Burning Flask.
Like the lone emblem of the organization on its cover, the invitation's contents were brief.
19 Sailonger Lane.
That was the only address inside the invitation.
But for Qin Ran, it was enough.
All he needed was an address.
Then he would go there, get the information he wanted out of them, and kill them.
As for reconciliation?
What a joke. Given the murderous malice they had shown before, Qin Ran did not believe reconciliation was possible.
There was one thing Qin Ran had not expected, though.
Heaton, the leader of Burning Flask, actually had ties to the Guardians of the Witch's Legacy.
According to Karls, Heaton was not only one of the Guardians, but a leader of some standing among them.
"So..."
"Is Burning Flask a cover, or an affiliate of the Guardians?"
Qin Ran tapped his fingers lightly against the armrest.
Judging by the information available, Qin Ran leaned toward the latter.
And precisely because of that, he grew increasingly curious about the Guardians of the Witch's Legacy.
"Like dandelion seeds, scattered on the wind, then taking root and sprouting."
"But where did they first come from?"
Qin Ran pondered the question.
By their origin, he did not mean the Witch.
The Witch was far too obvious.
The origin Qin Ran wanted to find was the first Guardian of the Witch's Legacy-or rather, the person who had founded the organization.
Why had that person established it?
What relationship did that person have with the Witch?
Or had that person already come into contact with the Witch's Legacy?
All sorts of conjectures began surfacing in Qin Ran's mind.
Only when the "conductor" reminded him to get off did Qin Ran rise from his seat
