"Dad, come save me!"
"It's so dark here. I'm so scared-Modin!"
There was no opening, but the signature at the end was enough to make Qin Ran raise an eyebrow.
Modin?
Modin!
There were plenty of people named Modin in this instance world, but as far as Qin Ran was concerned, only one could have become embroiled in a battle of this caliber.
Modin, the master sculptor from the pontiff's era six hundred years ago.
Qin Ran never believed in coincidences, and ever since he had arrived in this instance world, he had been connected, however tenuously, to the Modin Statues.
Qin Ran had long suspected that beyond the opponents he could "see," another unseen hand might be at work.
After all, even with a [Lucky Card], his experiences in this instance world had gone far too smoothly.
If a single [Lucky Card] could really achieve that much, Qin Ran would have believed that Wishcraft could turn anything around.
But the truth was that Wishcraft had restrictions-an enormous number of them. The slightest misstep could cause everything to fail.
"Did you arrange all of this?"
"Just to ask for help?"
"Or..."
"Were you merely being used, too?"
Qin Ran frowned deeply at the two lines on the base of [Hell's Sigh]. He could not verify their authenticity, especially since [Hell's Sigh] had not changed in any way.
But there was one thing Qin Ran knew.
He must not blindly trust what he saw.
Eyes could deceive.
Especially when someone had carefully arranged everything.
"A scheme laid six hundred years ago?"
"Next time!"
"Next time, I'll see what you have in store!"
Qin Ran murmured.
His figure disappeared amid his murmurs.
It was time to return.
