Even from so far away, the voices still reached Qin Ran's ears.
But Qin Ran paid no attention to their words.
He certainly would not explain anything to those people.
Because Qin Ran knew perfectly well that people only believed what they wanted to believe.
As for the rest?
To them, it was a scam, a fabrication.
Or they simply chose to ignore it.
You could not wake someone who was pretending to sleep, just as you could not tell the truth to someone whose mind was already made up.
Having long since learned this firsthand, Qin Ran naturally knew what to do: put it out of his mind completely, focus on what deserved his attention, and avoid wasting precious time and energy.
"You're saying that eagle is the Witch's servant?"
Qin Ran questioned Karls beside him, surprise in his eyes.
The eagle had clearly been trained. Qin Ran had no doubt about that.
But he had never imagined that its owner would be the Witch, who had already left.
"Yes."
"And the Guardians organization was built around that eagle. Even the Guardians themselves are chosen by it."
Karls nodded as he spoke.
"What does it base its choices on?"
Qin Ran continued asking about the information that interested him.
"I don't know."
Karls shook his head.
Qin Ran frowned slightly, dissatisfied with that answer.
The Witch had left, leaving an eagle behind.
And that eagle had actually begun choosing players.
Qin Ran would never believe there was nothing suspicious going on.
"In fact, I only discovered this secret by accident. Even now, the vast majority of the Guardians believe that eagle is the leader's servant."
"I can use a Contract to prove that this secret is real."
Karls clearly understood that his answer would not satisfy Qin Ran, and
