A man stood in the office hallway, carrying a backpack and wearing a black hoodie.
It was an ordinary outfit. Three or four out of every ten people on the street dressed like that, so his appearance alone would never have stunned Kerry and Clay.
What truly stunned them was his face!
A face that bore a seventy-percent resemblance to their boss!
If not for the difference in height, Kerry and Clay might even have thought their boss had returned.
"Who are you?"
Kerry raised an eyebrow, a cigarette dangling from his mouth.
"Kerry?"
"Clay?"
Instead of answering, the man asked questions of his own.
Those questions immediately enraged Clay, a burly former enforcer with a foul temper. This tough fighter under Ford was about to march over and teach the stranger exactly who called the shots here.
But before Clay could take a step, an aura unlike anything he had ever experienced washed over him.
There was a faint, sinister chill.
But far more overwhelming were the feelings of violence and chaos!
An enormous roar rang in Clay's ears. His vision turned crimson, like erupting lava, blinding and scorching.
Even more terrifying...
An unseen beast lurked within the lava, staring straight at him.
Its contempt and killing intent instantly turned what should have been searing heat into icy cold.
"Ah!"
Clay cried out and stumbled backward.
Kerry fared even worse. The man responsible for most of Ford's "business" collapsed on the floor. His cigarette fell from his mouth, and he gasped for breath, staring at the stranger as though looking at a monster.
Kerry was no stranger to this feeling.
Lately, he had often sensed it from their boss.
But...
This young man, whose face looked so much like their boss's, gave him an even stronger sensation.
"Kerry?"
"Clay?"
