Liton Lesti was considerably younger than Qin Ran had expected. His face could easily be called handsome, and he had brown hair and wore a gray suit, with a neatly folded red handkerchief in his breast pocket. His eyes were brown as well, and he was studying Qin Ran curiously.
Behind him stood two tall bodyguards, instinctively surveying the room's furnishings while occasionally glancing at Gobaer's two men.
They were sizing them up as well.
But there was no provocation.
There was nothing wrong with bodyguards assessing their peers, but anyone who provoked others in front of their employer could never become one of the best in the business.
After all, in the bodyguard business, the employer came first.
"Hello, 2567."
"Hello, Liton Lesti."
As their employers exchanged friendly greetings, the bodyguards on both sides immediately stopped their quietly competitive scrutiny and tactfully left the room.
"Water, tea, or coffee?"
As the host, Qin Ran fulfilled his duties.
"Water will be fine."
Liton Lesti replied with a smile.
After a few pleasantries, once they had both settled onto the sofas, Liton Lesti finally got to the point.
"2567, I hope you can help me find the Kessman Bottle."
"It holds extraordinary significance for me and my family."
Liton Lesti spoke earnestly.
"I can't guarantee that I'll find the Kessman Bottle."
"A spirit channeler has to borrow their eyes, and last night..."
"They had already left."
That was Qin Ran's answer.
Even when he was certain he could accomplish something, Qin Ran would never make an absolute promise.
After all, there was such a thing as an accident.
"I understand."
"But I hope you'll do your best."
"Name whatever payment you need. As long as it's within my means, I won't be stingy."
The man nodded and made a substantial promise.
