Qin Ran looked in surprise at the half-kneeling J. Perelman.

His face was obscured by the system, impossible to see clearly, but his eyes were dim and lifeless, as if his soul had been drained away. He allowed several outer members of the Free Alliance to curse and even kick him.

Nearby, four powerful players who had clearly reached Entry Rank watched the scene.

They did not stop the outer members.

Nor did they join in.

Qin Ran saw confusion in their eyes.

Clearly, these four Entry Rank official members of the Free Alliance had retained a measure of reason.

That reason kept them from acting rashly.

It allowed them to assess J. Perelman with some objectivity.

And to maintain proper courtesy upon seeing Qin Ran.

"Lord 2567."

The tallest of the four, an Entry Rank player carrying a two-handed sword on his back, looked at the approaching Qin Ran and greeted him on behalf of the group.

"Mm."

Qin Ran nodded, his gaze remaining fixed on J. Perelman.

"Fisherman killed the leader. He said it himself."

"We don't know what happened, but someone heard Fisherman arguing with the leader."

The man clearly knew what Qin Ran wanted to ask and immediately spoke up.

"He said it himself?"

Qin Ran asked in return.

"Yes, he said it himself."

The man nodded, and the people around him echoed his words.

"Several of us heard J. Perelman arguing with Lady Amelia."

"We couldn't hear the content clearly, but the argument was fierce."

"Then we heard Lady Amelia scream."

"When we rushed over, we saw Lady Amelia turn into white light and vanish, along with J. Perelman standing there in a daze."

"He was muttering to himself, 'I killed you!'"

Several outer sentries stepped forward to add their accounts.

Qin Ran frowned slightly.
