Outside the police station, the lights shone brightly.
In the distance, everything was pitch-black.

Through Tracking, he could clearly see a vast shadow surging toward him like an ocean wave. Along its path, anything that gave off heat or light burst apart as negative energy gathered rapidly around it.

A string of streetlights exploded, and more than a dozen figures emerged from the darkness, keeping themselves half-hidden.
In the shifting light, he caught a glimpse of them.
Each had a face covered by a sheet of skin, with no features beneath it. They were grotesque beyond belief, yet strangely captivating.
Intangible Wraiths and Evil Earth Wraiths.
Their appearance did not surprise Qin Ran.
His gaze swept across them without lingering. He kept searching for his real targets: the members of the Wanderers' Society.
Qin Ran knew that no matter how imposing the Intangible Wraiths looked or how startling the Evil Earth Wraiths were, both were merely creatures under someone else's control.
He had to find whoever controlled them to put an end to this.
Yet even with his C-rank Perception and the aid of Tracking, Qin Ran could not spot a single person who looked like a member of the Wanderers' Society.
Hiding their tracks?

After making such a spectacle of their arrival, what good would hiding do?
They must have come with the Intangible Wraiths and Evil Earth Wraiths. I just haven't found them yet!
And if something is blocking my sight...
