The taxi stopped in front of the Saint's Garden.

Qin Ran paid the fare, stepped out, and studied the flower shop before him.

That was right. The Saint's Garden was a flower shop.

It was not very large, but it was exquisitely arranged.

The two modest display windows flanking the entrance held different scenes. One brimmed with flowers in every color; the other was lush with greenery and full of life.

Between them stood a door just wide enough for one person to pass through.

Anyone who walked through that door would feel as though they had entered a forest or the Steppe.

They could even smell the rich scent of earth.

Standing at the door, Qin Ran rubbed his nose.

He was certain it was not an illusion. The smell was real!

Instinctively, he glanced at the flowers and green potted plants on either side.

"A magic circle?"

Qin Ran studied their unusual arrangement, unable to say for certain.

His expert-level [Mysterious Knowledge] let him read most specialized texts without difficulty, but accurately identifying a magic circle was still beyond him.

Unable to reach a firm conclusion, Qin Ran turned to the closed door.

A frame divided the glass window in its upper half into two panes.

But the glass was not clear. It was patterned and raised, thicker even than the frosted glass commonly used in bathrooms.

Even with his Perception at C-, Qin Ran could only make out vague figures moving inside the shop through that glass.

To see clearly into the shop?

He would need to be able to see through walls.

Only then did Qin Ran realize that the flowers and potted plants in the display windows had also been positioned to block the view from outside.
