The stunned "Ebru" turned around.
"He" saw a mouth.
An enormous mouth, bearing an irresistible suction that was about to swallow "him."
"Ebru" tried to struggle.
But that suction far exceeded anything "he" could have imagined.
Like jelly sucked through a straw, "Ebru" slipped straight into that gaping mouth. "Devouring Snow" was no exception.
In fact, it was even more straightforward.
Devouring Snow did not even resist.
The disappearance of the two Aberrations drew no attention from the caravan.
Everything had happened too quickly!
Only that great mouth remained, its lips pursed as though savoring the taste.
Yet even then, the growling of a hungry stomach continued without pause.
It had just finished eating.
But it was still hungry.
Qin Ran sat in the carriage, holding a small pastry.
It was not from the Yanan Inn, but from the famous "Lilith Bakery" in Sika City. Golden on the outside, it tasted rather like a cookie.
Crisp and sweet.
Unfortunately, there was no cream or chocolate.
That was Qin Ran's assessment.
Just as "Gluttony" assessed the food it had eaten.
One nearly at Descent and one weak Aberration. They were wonderfully crisp, and the flavor was decent. Unfortunately... there was too little.
"Don't worry."
"There's more food than just this."
Qin Ran smiled and gave "Gluttony" his assurance.
Then, deep within Qin Ran's heart, "Gluttony," reassured by its elder brother, immediately nodded again and again. The drool at the corners of its mouth swung with its bobbing head, stretching like strands of pulled noodles.
"Gluttony" never doubted its elder brother.
Nor did it care how its elder brother went about things. All it needed to do was follow behind.
Qin Ran raised his hand, popped the last pastry into his mouth, and picked up his plain tea.
