The cry of surprise drew everyone's attention.

His laughter brimmed with contempt.
Then the Broker pointed around him and said, stressing every word, "An absolutely safe room? What a joke. It's nothing more than a cage!"
"And outside this little cage, there's a bigger one."
"Their existence only binds our freedom, layer by layer, and reduces us to..."
"Slaves!"
As those words rang out with conviction, the Broker looked at the Guardians' two overseers, eight inspectors, and numerous other members. Mockery once again surfaced in his exposed eyes.
"Do you know the truth about the Guardians?"
"Would you like to know?"
"Shut up!"
Having recovered his composure, Ling interrupted the Broker.
The leader of the Guardians sneered, undisguised murderous intent in his eyes.
"Showing off your petty cleverness again."
"Do you think anyone will listen to you?"
"You betrayed her!"
As he spoke, Ling raised his hand.
Then he brought it down hard.
At once, the eight inspectors charged straight at the Broker.
"Repent after you're dead!"
That was what Ling said.
Ling had considerable confidence in the eight inspectors under his command.
The Broker might have brought hundreds of people, but most were merely veteran players. Fewer than a tenth were at Entry Rank, while the eight inspectors were the best among Entry Rank players, capable of killing ordinary ones almost instantly.
