Qin Ran stared directly at Calamity Lady. Demon Flame blazed fiercely in his hand, roaring again and again through the mysterious space as its scorching heat warped the surroundings once more.
Calamity Lady feared such heat.
She had no intelligence.
But she still had instincts.
Her instincts told her what she should do.
After hesitating for a moment, Calamity Lady chose to sit down.
"Very good."
Qin Ran nodded.
Then, he watched as the obedient Calamity Lady produced a Contract.
At the sight of the Contract, Calamity Lady twisted uneasily, letting out growl after growl.
"Quiet!"
Qin Ran barked, and the Demon Flame in his hand flared slightly, its tongue of fire sweeping over Calamity Lady's head.
Calamity Lady immediately fell silent.
"Do you want to live?"
"Or... do you choose death?"
Qin Ran asked indifferently.
At once, Calamity Lady, who had just quieted down, began to stir again.
Death was the fairest thing of all.
No one could ignore it.
No one could escape it.
Likewise, no one could face it calmly.
Qin Ran was no exception.
Neither was Calamity Lady.
