Who had leaked his whereabouts? The first person Qin Ran thought of was Ann Rattridge Oaken.
But Qin Ran immediately shook his head.
Ann Rattridge Oaken was a woman who put profit above all else.
Such a woman could never truly be trusted, but it was precisely because of that that Qin Ran ruled her out.
After his battle with Meyer and his victory, the value he had demonstrated was enough for Ann Rattridge Oaken to know how to obtain the greatest benefit. Seeing how she had immediately sealed off Oaken Manor and filled in the trench he had carved with the Sword of Dawn, Qin Ran knew her ambitions were anything but small.
"What a perfect match for Simi De Oaken!"
With that sigh, Qin Ran searched the club inside and out. Only after confirming that he had missed nothing did he take out his phone.
"Mr. 2567, would you like to have dinner with me?"
"The flavor of grilled lamb chops is so much like your temperament—tender, enticing, yet seeming to refuse even as it welcomes."
Ann Rattridge Oaken's languid voice came through the receiver.
"How about I dip them in your blood before eating?"
"I imagine that would give them a rather unique flavor."
Qin Ran said coldly on purpose.
"What happened?"
Ann Rattridge Oaken's voice turned solemn.
"After I dealt with the club's two fighters, I was attacked. I don't know how he found me, but he couldn't possibly have tracked me. So tell me, what do you think I'm thinking right now?"
Qin Ran sneered.
"Give me some time!"
"I'll give you an answer that satisfies you!"
Ann Rattridge Oaken was exceedingly decisive. She hung up as soon as she finished speaking.
Qin Ran looked at the disconnected phone and shrugged.
