A series of Spirit checks also appeared across Qin Ran's vision.
When it saw that Qin Ran remained unmoved throughout, the griffin gave a satisfied cry.
It sounded like both a beast's roar and a bird's call.
Yet in Qin Ran's mind, it became the common language of this dungeon world.
"Summoner, state your wish!"
Qin Ran was startled.
But after several similar experiences, he quickly recovered.
He spoke.
"Please dispel the darkness and restraints before me!"
He did not make a request such as "kill him."
That was because Qin Ran was unsure whether the "Elder," Jun, would still drop equipment if the griffin killed him.
Although the griffin had been summoned by the [Griffin Medal], and any equipment it caused to drop should belong to him under the usual rules.
With the Beast of Desire as a precedent, however, Qin Ran was unwilling to take the risk.
So he had to kill the "Elder," Jun, with his own hands.
"As you wish!"
The griffin's murmur rang out.
Then the griffin made no grand gesture. It merely took another few steps forward.
