Qin Ran hurried to Sister Mony's room.
It was a room with only the bare necessities and basic furniture, much like an ascetic's quarters.
The elderly nun lay with her eyes closed on a wooden bed covered by a single thin mattress. The doctor, who had changed out of his Crow Uniform, was examining her.
"Don't worry, everyone. She's just exhausted. She hasn't contracted the plague."
When the doctor said this, Aike and the other two members of the School Guard Unit standing in the room immediately sighed in relief.
As the mainstay of their efforts to treat the plague, if the elderly nun had contracted it herself, things would have been truly dire.
"But I hope everyone will remember Sister Mony's age. She can no longer handle everything with a young person's energy."
"So we need to shoulder more of her burden."
The doctor continued speaking.
Everyone around him nodded.
Almost everyone present had a close connection to the elderly nun.
They had either received her help or been taught by her.
The doctor was one such example.
Although they had never formally been master and apprentice, he had studied medicine under her for nearly three years.
After hearing the details from Aike, Qin Ran frowned slightly.
The elderly nun collapsing from exhaustion at a time like this was hardly good news.
Yet in some respects, it was not necessarily a bad thing.
Everything was like a coin: it always had two sides.
Good could turn into bad, and bad could turn into good.
After a little thought, Qin Ran raised a hand to beckon Aike over.
"Aike, I need you to spread some news this evening..."
Qin Ran whispered into his ear.
The guard's expression shifted repeatedly as he listened, but he did not refuse.
This was not
