At the very beginning, I had envisioned the protagonist as Xiao Qiu's older brother, one grade above her.

Dongdong was also meant to be the protagonist's childhood friend and classmate...

But after thinking it over, that setup didn't seem quite right. For one thing, I was starting to lose my grasp on what high school students felt like.

For another, if the protagonist were only a high school student, there would be many things that would be inconvenient to handle. It was better to just make him an adult.

So in the first chapter, there was a part where the protagonist was introduced as a "twenty-three-year-old adult" one second, then the next mentioned "eighteen years in this world."

That was because I missed it... and forgot to change it back...

Ahem, but it's been changed back now!

Still, those are all minor details that aren't worth worrying about, so I won't say much more here.

Honestly, my expectations for this book back then were simply to have over a thousand ongoing readers, since it had fewer than five thousand saves at the time.
