The Death Goddess vanished from the Antarctic ice fields.
In the next instant, she appeared before an ancient altar beneath the Antarctic ice cap, still holding the constantly writhing Purple Jewel.
With a casual wave of her hand,
the dim patterns on the altar rippled in spirals like water,
silently opening a special portal leading to a deeper dimension.
She stepped inside unhurriedly, and the portal quietly closed behind her.
Before her lay a domain that truly belonged to the Death Law.
A third dimension capable of observing every form of underworld on Earth at once.
It was a space belonging solely to the Death Goddess,
existing before the various incarnations of earthly underworlds had formed, and serving as the core place where she replenished her source energy.
Looking around, the sights were bizarre and fantastical:
on one side burned the blazing fires of purgatory, where countless souls endured eternal scorching,
letting out endless, miserable wails, as though embodying punishment and atonement.
On the other side stood pavilions, towers, waterside halls, and winding corridors.
A vast bluestone road stretched to the end of sight,
the buildings were magnificent yet carried the vicissitudes of ancient ages, while ghostly flames floated around them, filled with the flavor of Eastern mythology.
Countless dead souls stood in long lines upon this "Yellow Springs Road,"
silently and orderly moving forward,
forming a sharp contrast with the clamor on the other side.
Beyond that were countless other underworld scenes of varying sizes and styles—
the phantom image of Nordic Valhalla,
Egyptian boats crossing the river of the dead,
the Greek underworld's judgment...
They were all displayed within this dimension at once, like holographic projections.
It was worth mentioning that
in the entire universe, only Earth gave rise to such a diverse assortment of relatively complete underworld
