On a large ship, many people wore worried expressions in the face of such enormous waves. In such a violent storm, even the sturdiest vessel was helpless, seeming liable to be capsized at any moment.
"I will not leave. I will stay here and watch. This shipment is of vital importance to us. Nothing must go wrong."
The beautiful woman in the white dress bit her lip tightly, a trace of determination appearing on her face. Though there was also a hint of fear in her eyes at the sight of those towering waves, she had no choice. The cargo aboard this ship was simply too important. Without it, her Lineage would be utterly ruined, with no chance of ever turning things around.
"Miss Andelyn, as long as the ship does not sink, we will do everything in our power to protect the cargo. Heaven bless us—let the wind and waves subside quickly..."
The old captain gazed at the harbor ahead. Though it was not far away, blocked by the wind and waves, it seemed like an insurmountable chasm, forever beyond reach. Perhaps if the storm grew any worse, they would be buried in the sea for good.
This was the power of nature. They simply could not contend against it.

Suddenly, the waves rose higher and higher, crashing against the ship. Yet soon afterward, they gradually began to subside. The sea, which moments ago had been howling with gale-force winds like the end of the world, now calmed down, smooth and tranquil as far as the eye could see.
"Th-the storm has stopped. Miss Andelyn, we are safe."
The
