Acquaintance (Part 2)

The young First Elder's eyes gleamed with a trace of blood-red light. He could not forget the sight of himself fleeing in utter disarray before Merlin.

"Merlin... he has finally appeared. I knew he would not die so easily!"

Instead, a faint smile appeared on the First Elder's lips. Merlin's appearance did not seem to surprise him. After Osum had completely taken control of the Southern Spellcaster World, they had once believed that Merlin was dead.

But now, it seemed Merlin had not died.

"Have you found detailed information on Merlin?"

the First Elder asked in a deep voice.

"We have. Merlin first appeared recently on the Icebound Snowfield. By then, he had already controlled the Three-Headed Demon Dragon. Using it, he destroyed the Ice and Snow Fortress and Blood Lion Tower, the other two major forces on the Icebound Snowfield, and seized control of the entire snowfield. After that, he headed south alone, entered the Southern Spellcaster Organization, and turned against Osum everywhere, destroying one stronghold after another!"

For this red-robed Mage to investigate Merlin so thoroughly in such a short time showed just how enormous Osum's influence had become. It was far beyond what the former three large Spellcaster Organizations could compare with.

"First Elder, I suggest dispatching just one or two Great Mages. That should be enough to kill Merlin. His Three-Headed Demon Dragon is, at most, comparable to an ordinary Great Mage."

The red-robed Mage even offered this suggestion to the First Elder.

"Dispatch only one or two Great Mages?"
