"Count Sailin, I cannot agree to this request!"
Count Pumang put down the letter, speaking in an icy tone, his expression still carrying a trace of anger.
The countess's expression sank slightly, and she immediately said, "Pumang, my brother has encountered difficulties. Are there not several spellcasters stationed in Raven Fortress? You are the supreme commander of Raven Fortress; would you really refuse to casually dispatch even one of these spellcasters?"
Seeing that the countess seemed somewhat angry, Count Pumang felt a headache coming on, and could only explain helplessly, "My wife, you have also seen those spellcasters. Which of them holds me, a count, in any regard? Although I am the supreme commander of Raven Fortress, I simply cannot command those spellcasters. There is nothing I can do about this!"
The countess abruptly stood up, shouting at the top of her lungs, "Are you simply going to sit by and watch my brother's family be destroyed without saving them?"
Count Pumang paced back and forth in the room, appearing extremely troubled.
"If you won't dispatch spellcasters, that's fine. Then dispatch a few fourth-level Elemental Swordsmen. I believe my brother will be very happy with that as well."
The countess thought for a moment and offered another suggestion.
Count Pumang shook his head once more. Elemental swordsmen of the fourth level and above were all grand commanders. Stationed in Raven Fortress, they shouldered extremely important tasks. Even if he were the supreme commander of Raven Fortress, how could he casually dispatch them to handle personal matters?
"This won't do, and that won't do! Since you won't help, I'll go stay with my brother myself!"
The countess was furious; she stood up and immediately began packing her clothes.
"Wait, let me think about it again."
