Entering the Warship (Part One)

"Phew..."

When Merlin emerged from that strange state of insight, his Five-Element Mage's Heart had settled down again.

"That was close!"

Merlin muttered under his breath. The stage of forming a Mage's Heart was far too dangerous. The slightest mistake could have had grave consequences.

He regretted cutting short his insight. It meant giving up an excellent chance to form a Law. But it also meant his Mage's Heart had not collapsed.

Merlin flew out of the Flame Law's domain. He had committed the entire evolution of the Supreme Flame Law to memory and could try to form a Law again someday.

Next, he flew toward the Supreme Storm Law. This time, no insight drove him to form a Law. Forming one was clearly no easy feat; he had been remarkably fortunate to gain that earlier insight.

He gained little insight from the Storm Law, but he committed its evolution to memory all the same. Even Great Legendaries would have coveted a glimpse of a Supreme Law evolving.

Those were only two Supreme Laws. The Water Law and Light Law still lay ahead. Merlin had never constructed Spells corresponding to either of them, so he could hardly expect any insight. Still, the evolution of every Supreme Law had something in common with the others.

He committed those processes to memory as well. Because their elements were unfamiliar to him, it was no easy task. More than half a month passed before he had memorized both.

A pity there's no Darkness Law. If there were, I might be able to fuse my Dark-Element Mage's Heart and finally become a Great Wizard!

Merlin had memorized the evolution of every Law here, but the absence of the Darkness Law still troubled him. Otherwise, the time he needed to become a true Great Wizard
