Listening to the reports below, all of them bad news, Fairland—who had only recently escaped back—was overcome with irritation. Victory had been in the bag, success within reach; he had been about to unify the entire world completely, when a mysterious Mage suddenly appeared and, with the force of thunder, suppressed Bonnet and defeated the elite forces of the Holy Light Empire.
Had Fairland not possessed a treasure capable of tearing through space, he would likely have been left behind in the Black Moon Kingdom as well.
Fairland had thought that this time, the Black Moon Kingdom would still be as it had been before: recuperating for decades, with both sides living in peace, until the Holy Light Empire could once again launch an expedition against the Black Moon Kingdom.
But now, it seemed that these evil heretics intended to completely destroy the Light Church. This filled Fairland with a powerful sense of crisis.
"Ignore them. Withdraw all Church personnel to Bright City. There, the great God of Light can protect us and drive back the evil heretics!"
For now, this was the only thing they could do: concentrate their strength in Bright City and hope they could hold it.
