"During the first term, I taught you how to perform basic enchantments on different objects."

At the front of the classroom, Lin An's voice was steady and clear.

"By now, most of you can proficiently cast Levitation Enchantment, Shield Enchantment, Illumination Enchantment, and several other basic spells."

After saying that, he paused slightly.

The classroom was filled with the scent of ink, paper, and magic. The students stood holding their breath, their expressions intent.

Although Lin An was usually gentle and approachable, he had always been rigorous in his teaching, almost to the point of harshness.

The Hogwarts students all understood an unspoken rule—

It was never wise to let their attention wander in front of this professor.

"Now, we will learn something new—Double Enchantment."

The quill in Lin An's hand spun lightly before landing on the metal plate on the desk.

"As the name suggests, it means adding two enchantments to the same object. They may be of the same type, or two different kinds of magic."

He began his demonstration.

Lin An took out an ordinary metal plate, picked up his enchanting quill, and wrote a blue rune upon it—Protego (Shield).

A flash of light passed by. The rune vanished, the metal plate trembled slightly, and it became the most basic Alchemy product.

Next, he took out a second piece of metal and wrote the same "Protego" on both its front and back.

The blue glow sank into the front and back of the metal like two layers of ripples.

He raised his wand and said softly, "Bombarda."

A brilliant beam shot toward the first piece of metal.

The air shook. A light shield rose, but it shattered after lasting only three seconds, and the metal turned to ash.

Immediately afterward, Lin An attacked the second piece of metal with the same spell.

At the instant the light struck, one shield flashed into being, followed at once by a second layer of light shield.

The two barriers overlapped into transparent ripples, completely blocking the impact of the explosion.

The students stared in amazement, their eyes shining with eager excitement.

"Enchantments of the same type—what we call Homogeneous Dual Enchantment—can greatly strengthen a spell's stability and power."

Lin An explained calmly.

He did not need an exaggerated tone; the facts themselves were enough to shake the entire room.

Whispers immediately rose throughout the classroom.

Many students could barely contain themselves, already impatient to try it with their own hands.

Lin An raised a hand to quiet them, a faint smile on his lips. "Don't rush. There is another kind."

He waved his wand and took out another new metal plate.

This time, he first engraved "Lumos" on one side, then "Incendio" on the other.

The runes intertwined and flowed, forming a strange magical structure.

"Now, this is Heterogeneous Double Enchantment—the combination of different types of magic."

Lin An tossed it lightly, and the metal plate floated in midair.

In an instant, a dazzling radiance blossomed, followed closely by a dancing flame.

Light and fire circled each other in the air like two mutually drawn planets, radiating a harmonious yet dangerous beauty.

The students gasped in wonder.

They finally understood that Alchemy was far more than simply mixing materials and metals.

"Heterogeneous Double Enchantment can create a 'resonance effect' between spells, but to master it, you will need a stronger foundation in runes."

Lin An's voice was steady and powerful.

"Next term, we will delve into it step by step."

In one corner of the classroom, a hand rose high.

"Mr. Diggory, go ahead."

"Professor, can two different enchantments be combined into an entirely new kind of magic?"

Lin An smiled slightly and nodded. "Of course. That is called Amalgam Enchantment."

He retrieved the metal plate from earlier and wrote a complex rune onto its surface with his enchanting quill—Ehwaz (Companion).

The moment the rune flashed, the metal vibrated with a soft chiming sound.

Then, a miracle occurred.

The light and fire slowly merged. The heat of the flames gradually faded, replaced by a pure white radiance.

The fire no longer burned, yet it was brighter than light.

Transparent white flames swayed gently in the air, illuminating the entire classroom.

The students instinctively raised their hands to shield their eyes, yet they could not bear to block the sight completely.

That light was warm and gentle, yet it carried a sacred majesty.

Lin An watched the white flame, his heart stirring slightly.

He knew that this was not merely the fusion of magic, but a manifestation of resonance between the soul and runes.

"Professor, can we do that too?" a girl could not help asking.

Lin An chuckled. "Of course—but that is part of the fourth-year curriculum."

A wave of disappointed yet excited sighs immediately swept through the classroom.

Though the students still wanted more, they all secretly looked forward to mastering this miraculous power in the future.

Another student raised a hand and asked, "Professor, if we want to become Alchemists, do we have to take Ancient Runes?"

Lin An nodded. "Not necessarily. As long as you can use runes correctly, that is enough. But if you wish to study Alchemy in depth, that class is indispensable."

He swept his gaze across the room, his voice even. "The essence of Alchemy is order and understanding. Materials, magic, symbols, souls—none can be absent."

The students hurriedly wrote down those words.

The air was suffused with glowing magical dust and heat.

Lin An withdrew his wand, his expression calm.

"Now," he said with a slight smile, "begin your practice—Homogeneous Dual Enchantment."

The classroom immediately filled with the low hum of flowing magic.

Firelight, spells, and runes intertwined in the air like newborn stars flickering into life.

Lin An stood before the lectern, his gaze tranquil and bright.

He knew that these students might not yet understand—
