Lin An sat in the classroom, reviewing his students' experiment reports. Outside, the wind carried the chill of late winter. An owl flapped in through the window and landed lightly on his desk.

"What a rare visitor." Lin An smiled faintly and offered it a piece of dried meat. The owl gave a low hoot, took the food, and extended a talon—tied to it was a letter.

He opened the envelope and saw the familiar, crooked handwriting:

"Lin An, come to my place quickly. There's something urgent. —Hagrid."

Lin An sighed softly.

"So it really is that matter."

According to the original timeline, this was probably when Hagrid had just received the dragon egg and was eager to show it off.

He quickly gathered his things, threw on his robes, and left the classroom.

--

On the way to the gamekeeper's hut, Lin An first ran into Quirrell.

The professor still wore that stammering, flustered manner of his, his steps hurried and his expression uneasy.

As they passed each other, they pretended not to know one another. Neither stopped.

The second one he encountered was Slytherin's ghost—the Bloody Baron.

"Lin An." The ghost spoke in a deep voice carrying an icy chill. "What you are doing is wrong."

Lin An slowed slightly and looked up at him. "Oh? Which thing?"

"Your relationship with Helena." The Baron's voice was low as iron. "The living and the dead should have no ties. This is blasphemy, and it is taboo."

Lin An raised a brow, a faint smile on his lips. "Should I take that as advice—or Envy?"

The Bloody Baron's face stiffened. He snorted coldly. "I do not understand what you mean. I am merely warning you—end this absurd relationship immediately, or else..."

"Or else what?" Lin An asked calmly.

"I can haunt you forever." The Baron's tone was sinister. "No matter where you go, I can appear.

"You will not have a moment's peace. In your dreams, when awake, even your soul will not escape my shadow. We ghosts... do not need rest."

He thought such a threat would be enough. After all, almost no spell could truly harm a ghost.

Even the few dark spells that could work temporarily were exceedingly rare.

Yet Lin An merely raised a hand, and a ball of dark crimson flame ignited at his fingertips.

The flame made no sound, yet the air around them abruptly froze.

"Do you know what this is?" Lin An's voice was low and composed. "Demon Flame."

The Bloody Baron's expression changed as he drifted several feet back.

"This flame comes from another dimension." Lin An spoke as though stating a fact. "Ghosts can remain in this world because they leave a soul imprint behind in reality at the moment of death.

"Demon Flame can erase that imprint and make you truly 'die'—not entering the Underworld, not entering reincarnation, but simply disappearing completely."

The Baron's expression twisted at once. He stared at Lin An for a long time before finally turning and fleeing at high speed.

The firelight slowly faded from Lin An's fingers. He sighed softly.

He had learned this forbidden art from the Key of Solomon. He had stolen that book from the Vatican along with the Lesser Key of Solomon, and its contents recorded rituals for summoning and commanding Demons.

Unfortunately, after countless experiments, he had only succeeded in summoning extremely weak Demons.

At first, he thought the problem lay in the magical system. Later, he discovered that the true reason was that the world of those Demons was separated from the present world by a "barrier."

Just like the Underworld ruled by Bleach, Demons had their own dimension.

The problem was that no matter how he tried, he could not truly enter it.

The Demons he summoned were only shadows, incapable of bringing forth stronger beings.

At that time, Lin An formed a bold hypothesis—

"The world of Harry Potter may once have been far more powerful than it is now.

"But some upheaval in a certain era caused it to be artificially weakened."

He had no evidence, aside from the existence of Bleach and the Demons' dimension.

But when he compared the level of ordinary wizards with things such as the Philosopher's Stone, Horcruxes, and resurrection rituals, that sense of disparity was impossible to ignore.

"The magic of this universe seems to have been sealed."

He murmured softly.

As his thoughts churned, the outline of the gamekeeper's hut came into view.

--

The hut was brightly lit by firelight.

Harry, Hermione, and Ron surrounded a baby dragon while Hagrid introduced it with an excited face.

"His name is Norbert!"

"It's Norberta," Lin An said mildly.

Hagrid froze. "Wha—what do you mean?"

"She's female." Lin An smiled and gently stroked the little dragon's forehead.

The young dragon quieted beneath his hand, letting out a soft rumble like a cat.

"Blimey, Professor, how did you do that?" Hagrid exclaimed.

"The essence of magic lies in resonance," Lin An answered casually. "One day, I'll open a class to teach it."

Hermione seized the chance to speak. "Professor, Hagrid can't keep a dragon. We wanted to ask whether you could help us think of a solution?"

Lin An did not answer immediately.

He was watching the little dragon, his gaze thoughtful.

"Professor?" Hermione called tentatively.

Lin An slowly came back to himself and smiled. "I was just thinking—what would it be like if one created a true dragon?"

"A true... dragon?" Ron's eyes widened.

"Aren't the ones we raise dragons?"

Lin An shook his head. "Those are wyverns, not dragons in the true sense.

"In Muggle mythology, True Dragons are higher lifeforms with their own independent magical system—they can speak and think, possess enormous bodies and wingspans of a thousand feet, and command an ancient language—Dragon Chant. That is Dragonkind in its purest sense."

Hagrid's eyes shone. "That must be the cutest creature ever!"

Ron shuddered. "Blimey, that sounds terrifying."

Hermione pushed up her glasses and asked seriously, "But Professor, that's only a legend. How do you intend to 'create' one?"

Lin An smiled without answering, tracing a pale golden rune through the air with his fingertip.
