"Verek, is this the Korak Empire's decision? Do you intend to betray us all?" Emperor Karak roared. His thunderous voice even made the illusionary space tremble slightly.

Verek rose to his feet and shattered his throne with a single blow. He glared at Emperor Karak and shouted, "I've had enough of you constantly belittling and attacking me. Do you want a war? Is that what you want? Then listen carefully: I'm declaring war right here and now."

Kroll possessed an extraordinary mind and could be called a genius of his generation. If Empress Selasi was the embodiment of magical talent in its physical form, then Kroll could be said to embody magic in its mental or spiritual form. This man's understanding and interpretation of magic and theory were utterly unique.

That was one of the reasons the Korak Empire had decided to shelter him and even fund some of his experiments. In return, Kroll helped them develop their magical civilization, ensuring that the nobles of the Korak Empire could maintain their power through magic. Before Kroll's arrival, the Korak Empire had nearly lost its position as one of the Three Great Empires.

More importantly, Verek had formed a deep friendship with Kroll over their years of working together. Kroll's experiments were incredibly
