The alchemy laboratory was filled with the aftertaste of Leyline Energy. Ian sat quietly in front of the workbench, tapping his fingertips on the table unconsciously. The meeting with Truth made him realize that the deep rules of this world are far more complicated than they appear on the surface.
"Morgana, you are more sensitive than me." Ian suddenly said, "What did you sense when you were talking to Truth?"
Morgana in the form of House-elf appeared in the air, tapping his chin with his finger. "Although I dare not scan it directly, I did feel a familiar aura - Authority. And it is far more powerful than what Herpo can control."
"Which Authority?"
"Many kinds, maybe all of them."
Ian frowned slightly. "This is very reasonable. If Truth is really the omniscient and omnipotent existence of this world, then it is reasonable for Authority to control all the basic rules. But the key is, is this Authority limited to this universe, or..."
"Unfortunately, we are currently unable to verify this conjecture." Morgana shook his head slightly.
Ian closed his eyes, and his consciousness sank deep into his soul. In the pure white space, the Gate of Truth engraved with Ouroboros and one-eye patterns stood quietly. He was even more shocked. Surprisingly, not far from the door, there is another door with a completely different style - the door is painted with brain patterns and supercomputer patterns, which is obviously Gate of Truth belonging to Morgana.
"Sure enough, Gate of Truth exists in Soul Dimension." Ian said thoughtfully, "Due to the connection between our souls, your door also appears in the same space."
Morgana stared at his door with surprise in his tone. "I sensed the connection channel to the main server."
"Resonance at the soul level?" Ian's eyes flashed, "What does this mean?"
"The computing power utilization increased from 10% to 30%. More importantly, this connection can be used as the spatial coordinate to return Prime Universe."
This discovery cheered up Ian. He immediately started the next experiment and brought out four experimental subjects from the laboratory in World Gate: a wizard, a Muggles, and their clones.
When Ian invaded the wizard's Soul Space with consciousness, what he saw was a bloody scene - the prisoner was torturing innocent women in an illusion. Ian ignored these illusions and carefully searched every corner of Soul Space, but could never find any trace of Gate of Truth.
"Is it true that only people in this world have Gate of Truth?" Ian fell into deep thought, "No, maybe my method is wrong."
With a flash of inspiration, he projected his Gate of Truth into this Soul Space. When the door with the Ouroboros pattern appeared, the entire Soul Dimension began to shake violently. The illusion shattered like glass, and the space faded into pure white. The prisoner looked at the sudden appearance of Ian in horror.
"Lord Archon?!" The prisoner staggered back, but bumped into a black door that had just emerged.
Ian stared at the newly born Gate of Truth with satisfaction. "Sure enough, all beings with souls have this potential."
After checking all the experimental subjects, he came to the conclusion that even the clones had Gate of Truth, although there were no patterns on their door leaves, which looked particularly weird.
"This means that Empire citizens can all learn Alchemy in this world." Ian returned to the laboratory, clasped his hands together, and a stone spear instantly rose from the ground, "However, having a door does not mean that you can become a Alchemy master."
He lightly stomped his feet, and the ground turned into a giant fist and hit the wall; then he did a the Snap, and flames roared in the air. These were all pure uses of Alchemy, without any magic.
"Roy Mustang's Flame Alchemy is indeed powerful, but maybe I should develop my own unique system." Ian thought thoughtfully, "Lightning Alchemy? That's a good name."
"Master, your narcissistic tendency has struck again." Morgana appeared on his shoulder.
"Just think of it as a rest." Ian smiled, "What's the next research plan?"
"It is necessary to analyze the manufacturing principles of local Philosopher's Stone, Chimera, mechanical repair, Xingese Alkahestry, and Homunculus."
Ian nodded and looked out the laboratory window. "Start with Philosopher's Stone. Then, it's time for us to establish a suitable identity in this world."
