Purification: Arcane Fire and Aether conjectures
Ian immediately started experimenting with Divine Flame to verify whether it could successfully purify magic power and help him quickly advance to a higher level.
He walked into one of the laboratories and started testing.
After preliminary testing on several clones, he quickly discovered that individuals of Fifth Tier and below were unable to ignite Divine Flame at all; their souls were too weak to withstand the burning of Divine Flame, and they would immediately be destroyed.
Therefore, Ian had to spend a lot of resources to quickly cultivate several Sixth Tier clones for experiments.
Subsequently, one of the clones ignited Divine Flame according to the method provided by Dolos.
Looking at the bright golden flame in front of him, Ian nodded with satisfaction.
Then, he started the next step of the experiment. He did not test directly on the Sixth Tier clone, but first used a Zero Tier clone.
The process went much smoother than expected. The only function of Divine Flame seems to be to purify all things.
When it came into contact with the magic power of the Zero Tier clone, the reaction happened quickly.
Magic power is usually invisible to the naked eye and difficult to detect. However, when observed using special means, according to research by the Empire, magic power usually appears blue.
This color is especially noticeable when a large amount of magic is gathered or mobilized.
However, after Divine Flame began to purify the clone's magic power, the color of the magic power changed: from blue to orange, then yellow, then silver, and finally pure white.
Each color represents a level.
Orange represents First Tier, yellow represents Second Tier, silver represents Third Tier, and white represents Fourth Tier.
Ian realized that he was unveiling some kind of Truth. So, he quickly checked the Liquid Mana in Fourth-Order Arcanist's body.
In the past, Empire has discussed and researched the concept of magic purity, but with almost no results.
However, now, with this new discovery, Ian can accurately identify the purity of magic power.
After examining Liquid Mana, he discovered that it was actually a mixture of white and blue magic.
After purification, the blue magic in it also began to transform into white.
When the blue part turns yellow, the clone enters Fifth Tier. And when all the magic turns white, it reaches Sixth Tier. After collecting enough data, Ian finally checks its own Crystallized Magic.
"Sure enough, it's purple," Ian whispered to himself.
The reason why he can predict the color of Crystallized Magic is because of one of the comics Solomon gave him.
In a Korean comic titled <Becoming a King at Three>), the concept of magic power purification was introduced.
The purified colors there are almost exactly the same as here, the only difference is that in that universe the initial color of magic is not blue, but black/dark.
After that comes red, then orange, and so on.
(Note: If you plan to read this manga or light novel, there are minor spoilers here.)
In that universe, after the white magic, there is a purple power called [Aether], which is a power that only the protagonist can obtain.
Thinking of this, Ian's eyes lit up, and he seemed to have made a major discovery.
"According to this logic, Crystallized Magic is actually Aether with lower purity. As for Philosopher's Stone, it should be Aether with higher purity."
He immediately checked his Perfect Philosopher's Stone which was identical to Magic Core Fusion, as well as other samples.
Sure enough, they were mostly made of purple, with the rest blue.
Ian became excited. In many novels he had read in his previous life, Aether was either regarded as an advanced form of magic or as the origin of magic.
It is believed to be the fifth element and the root cause of magic or supernatural phenomena in a world governed by physical laws.
Although the settings in these novels may not be completely correct, after all, they are different universes, they have extremely high reference value.
Additionally, there is some subtle evidence to support these theories.
For example, why can Philosopher's Stone (Aether) break the strict laws of material transformation in Wizarding World and Gate of Truth Alchemy?
Why does this stone allow the wizard to break Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration and create food out of thin air?
Why can it give people eternal life?
All this shows that Aether is extraordinary, and studying it may lead Ian to the essence of magic.
He looked at the stone in his hand and said, "From now on, your name will be [Aether Stone]."
Although it has not been completely confirmed that this stone is the real Aether, he is 80% sure of his speculation.
Now, all he can think about is how to further purify the huge Aether Stone that is Floating City Energy Core.
Once successful, he can upgrade Floating City's level from Pseudo-Ninth Tier to Pseudo-Tenth Tier, or even higher.
Unfortunately, this problem is not easy to solve.
According to his calculations, it would take dozens of Sixth Tier experts to use their Divine Flame and spend several years to completely purify it into purple.
So far, he is Empire's only Sixth Tier Arcanist. Even if we include the three Hermione, there will only be four in a few years.
Unless he can find a way to use the power of countless low-level Arcanist to condense Divine Flame.
"This is a good idea, let's put it on the agenda first," Ian muttered to himself. Then he frowned.
"I don't like the name 'Divine Flame' and using it could get me into trouble."
Ian knows that if those gods know that "mortals" are using their exclusive technology to make profits, they will definitely not be able to accept it and try to obliterate them.
This group of gods, who have been driven insane by the poisonous beliefs they have absorbed over the years, are just so small Mind's Eye.
"In that case, let's call it [Arcane Fire]. Or call it the Mysterious Fire? No, Arcane Fire is more convenient."
He immediately updated the database of the Library and used the new name. Then, after creating his own Arcane Fire, he began to purify the magic power in his body.
After calculating the time required for promotion to Seventh Tier, he nodded with satisfaction.
Later, he shared his findings with three others and urged them to seize the time to break through Sixth Tier. Then, Ian tried to use Arcane Fire to purify Void Energy.
As expected, the flames went out instantly. That being the case, he began testing other energies.
Flames are very effective. Unfortunately, Ian discovered that purifying the magic power first and then converting the pure magic power into other energy is more efficient than directly purifying other energy sources such as solar energy.
The only exception is Cosmic Energy from the universe. However, Ian's understanding and application of this energy is still very low-level.
While testing Soul Energy, he discovered that it could also be purified.
With this method, it is possible to create high-quality soul crystals, remove soul curses, and even directly enhance soul strength.
In this way, it will be easier for Arcanists to enhance their soul power, thereby better controlling their magic power and greatly shortening the time required to advance to a higher level.
In addition, Ian has not fully understood the other benefits that a pure soul brings to Arcanist as a whole.
This kind of flame can also lift Pure-blood's pulse, so that Pheobe's future research can be successful.
When he returns to the Empire, the path of Bloodline Arcanist will usher in a huge explosion.
Finally, this purification technology is also applicable to Battle Aura, so Battle Aura masters can also benefit.
Not to mention purified Potions herbs, ores used to make Divine Artifact or technological materials, etc.
"This world is really my blessed place," Ian murmured to himself, and he was even a little worried that he would run out of luck in this world.
But when he thought about it again, he felt that he was a little ridiculous.
Most of the benefits he has gained in this universe are due to his thorough preparation and extraordinary means. Another person may not be able to make as much money as he does.
In the final analysis, it all depends on his ability, ideas and decisiveness to execute the plan.
"Okay, let's take a look at the information Dolos gave me."
