Ian and Luna walked out of Floating City side by side and began to look at the surrounding environment. There is no doubt that this is a strange world: there are nine suns hanging in the sky, and after careful observation, Ian is convinced that they are all living creatures.
The two spent some time collecting some samples of animals and plants, and were amazed by the wonders of this unfamiliar territory.
"How's it going? Do you have any clues?" Ian asked. Unfortunately, Luna shook his head, "The environment here contains too much information."
"What do you mean?"
"Whenever I try to do Divination, it feels like jumping into a vast ocean, where every drop of water contains a huge amount of information."
"In other words, you can't filter out a single target from here?"
"So to speak."
"What if you let Morgana assist you?"
"It's useless." Luna herself also has Tower Spirit or artificial intelligence assistance. Although it is not as good as Morgana, it is definitely the top level. However, even with its help, she cannot handle such a huge flow of information in the environment.
"For the Divination master, this is both Hell and Heaven. If we can find a way to parse and harness this information, Divination magic will usher in a whole new era."
Ian nodded and decided to choose a direction to explore first to see if they could encounter intelligent life and civilization. They didn't go far when they encountered a huge creature.
"Is that a Yeti?" Luna asked. The creature looks like a monkey, and it does look a bit like Yeti. But there are also many differences: its size is at least three times that of the ordinary Yeti, and it stands about 15 meters tall.
Its legs are exaggeratedly long, occupying a height of 12 meters. The most peculiar thing is that its skin looks like it is made of rock, which is simply a combination of Yeti and an earth elemental creature.
Ian saw that this creature had the strength of Third Tier, but he did not attack or alarm it, but directly read its memory.
"What did you find?" Luna asked.
"Its intelligence level is about the same as that of an ordinary Beast. It is full of thoughts about hunting, sleeping, mating and pooping." Ian replied. "Oh, but its poop seems to be a good thing."
"How to say?"
"In its memory, you can often see some humanoid creatures fighting over its feces." Ian answered while sorting out the information he collected. Based on the creature's hunting habits and activity range, he drew a crude but practical regional map in his mind.
He raised his hand and used magic power to condense a holographic map. "According to calculations, if we go northeast, the probability of encountering intelligent life will be higher." He pointed to a point on the map and said.
Luna looked at the map and suddenly asked, "I have a question: Is it safe to use teleportation in this place?"
"Good question." Ian said, controlling a small purple stone a few meters away to fly into his hands. He cast a teleportation spell on the stone, and the stone disappeared instantly, and then appeared in an open space in the distance.
"On the surface it seems fine, but this is just a lifeless stone. We can't be sure what will happen if it acts on a living person." Ian commented cautiously.
"In that case, let's fly over."
The two jumped into the air and flew towards their destination, but they soon discovered another anomaly - considering their rank, the flying speed was greatly weakened. In addition, the magic power in their bodies was consumed at an abnormally fast rate.
"It seems that this place has very strict legal restrictions." Ian commented.
"Indeed, and it's also full of unknown mysteries." Luna nodded in agreement.
They continued on their way and soon discovered a resting team. It looked like a caravan transporting goods, because they used a strange creature as a carrier.
This team is composed of a variety of humanoid creatures, with different skin colors, some with scales, and some with horns, but there are also a few purebred humans in the team.
"What's wrong?" Luna asked when he saw Ian frowning.
"I can't read these people's minds."
"Really or not?"
"If they were communicating with their souls, I could understand what they were saying. But when I tried to enter their subconscious, I couldn't find any memories. What's worse, I couldn't break through their Soul Dimension first layer of defense at all."
"Is that so? When you read the memory of that monster just now, it was obviously very smooth. Is this a special law of this world, to protect intelligent life forms from mental exploration?" Luna analyzed.
"Let's test your guess." Ian said, using Legilimency (Legilimency) on the camel beast responsible for transportation in the caravan. As expected, he read its thoughts and memories very easily.
"It seems your guess is right."
However, the current sample size is too small to draw a conclusion hastily. After all, it is possible that the caravan itself is special, and not everyone in the Quantum Realm has this kind of anti-reconnaissance capability.
"What should we do next? Should we follow them secretly?" Ian asked for advice.
"No, it's up to me." Luna said, casting a Transfiguration Spell on himself, making his hair messy and leaving several burnt marks on his clothes and body.
Immediately afterwards, she lifted the invisibility magic on the two of them, pretended to fall from the sky, and fell heavily in front of the caravan. The caravan members instantly became alert and drew their weapons, including guns and swords.
"What is this place? I... did I succeed?" Luna rubbed her head and looked around in confusion. When she saw the people holding weapons around her, she immediately showed a vigilant look and struggled to stand up.
"Who are you? Where are you?"
"&T^%^%^$^%$&T"
"Incomprehensible language? It seems that we have to change the way of communication. Wait, why is my power losing?" She frowned, her face showing just the right amount of confusion, worry and a hint of fear.
But soon, these emotions were forcibly suppressed and she regained her composure. Then, she directly used soul fluctuations to convey what she wanted to say into their minds.
"Who are you? Where are you?"
The caravan members all looked surprised; they could now understand what this strange human woman who fell from the sky was saying. But no one answered her. They all looked at a man nearly three meters tall, with red skin and a giant sword in his hand.
"Are you their leader?" Luna asked.
"So to speak."
"Then do you know where this is?"
The leader did not answer directly, but asked, "Why did you fall from the sky?"
"I was originally doing an experiment in the laboratory, trying to prove the existence of the Quantum Realm. But the experiment got out of control. When I came to my senses, I was here."
The leader was silent for a moment, "Congratulations, you succeeded."
"You mean, this is really Quantum Realm?"
"It's one of the most common names here, so, yeah."
"Great! Is this why my power is weakened? Are the laws of physics here different from Material World? What is the principle of this phenomenon?"
"You must be a mage." The leader said.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I always get into trouble when I get excited. What, is there a mage in this place?"
"Yes, although it is rare, it does exist. There are many more scientists who have fallen from above (Material World) than mages, but mages are not extinct."
"That's it." Luna nodded, "By the way, I forgot to introduce Self. My name is Jessica Kana, and I am a spiritual mage."
"My name is Krovick."
"Mr. Krovick, if you don't mind, can you tell me about the situation in this world?" Luna suggested, "I will pay you for your information."
Hearing this, Krovick's eyes lit up. He nodded towards Luna, then turned and gestured to his men. The crowd dispersed, but Luna could see that they were still vigilant.
Anyway, Krovick began to introduce her to the general situation of the world.
'This is much smoother than I expected.' A few minutes later, Ian, who had been observing secretly, thought to himself. According to Krovick, this world is mainly controlled by three major forces: Sun God Church, Tatar Empire and City of Enlightenment.
Ian's attention is focused on the last one - City of Enlightenment. According to the leader, that city is ruled by a race called [Scholar Race]. In other words, Ian finally found them.
He let out a sigh of relief.
