After deciding on the next plan, Ian began to think about how to create Sixth Magic and what it should look like. After considering several ideas, an idea suddenly flashed in his mind:
"I could try to create a magic based on Morgana," he muttered to himself; he missed that House-elf: her incessant chatter, her quirky personality, and how easy she made his life.
'My body has already combined Speed Force with her main processor Fusion to improve it. Maybe my research here can help with this process,' Ian thought to himself. He felt that as time went by, his current identity became more and more attractive.
"If I want to finish this as soon as possible, I need a sample." Ian had an idea, but there might be some risks involved. However, considering that he had Ea in his hands, he felt it was worth it. So, he went to Tohsaka.
"You want me to recreate my family's Jewel Sword?"
"Yes."
"Why?"
"What do you mean why? Don't you want to restore your family's lost heritage?"
"I think so, but based on what I know about you, there must be other reasons why you are suddenly interested in this."
"Okay, you saw through it. You just need to know that your success will summon someone, and I need to talk to that person." Tohsaka stared at him for a while and agreed. They went to Clock Tower to start reforging Jewel Sword, just like Shirou helped her in another timeline, Ian used his magic to help her complete the reforging of the sword.
As soon as the sword was completed, an old man appeared in the room.
"Arcane Emperor, I just want to see you."
"Do you know me?" Ian asked.
"I have been observing this timeline," Zelretch said. "Since I created Second Magic and gave humans the Infinity possibility, the future of mankind has been guaranteed. If this timeline fails and humanity perishes, they have other choices. But you, a person who suddenly appeared out of thin air, gave them the Infinity possibility of success and prosperity."
'I see, that's why Akasha fabricated a background for the Arcane Empire for me, in order to give humans in this world a better future. Maybe my guess is more accurate than I thought – she is preparing for the upcoming war,' Ian thought to herself.
"Our conversation can wait, because I'm sure you have something else to say to her."
"Thank you for your understanding," Zelretch said. Ian left the room to them, and Zelretch started talking to Tohsaka. After a few minutes, they called Ian to go back.
"What's the problem?"
"I wanted to accept her as my disciple, but she asked me to ask you."
"That's a good idea," Ian said, glancing at Tohsaka. "What are you still hesitating about?"
"But... but..."
Ian sighed, "You know I can't stay, and Zelretch, as the user of Second Magic, is also the teacher of your ancestors. He is your most perfect mentor."
"I... understand."
"I can't believe that someone is unwilling to be my apprentice. However, considering that the competitor is you, I guess it makes sense," Zelretch said. "Give us some time." Tohsaka left the room, leaving only the two of them.
"So, what do you want from me?" Zelretch asked.
"I'm imagining Sixth Magic. As a research, I want to see your magic first."
"Teaching True Magic is not an easy task--"
"I'm not asking you to teach me, but to show me."
"Is there any difference for people like you?" Zelretch retorted.
"You should know the importance of this magic better than anyone else. So, make a price."
"I want the design drawing of Netheril."
"Just show me Second Magic. Your asking price is too high. Please change it."
"Okay, what about the blueprint of Aether Core."
"You seem to know my Floating City very well."
"I'm an observer of countless timelines. What do you think? So, deal?"
"Deal." Ian immediately sent him the blueprint; of course, the one he gave was not the latest model. Zelretch then cast Second Magic:. With this magic, Ian saw the operation of countless timelines, including the one that owned his Arcane Empire. He also saw how this magic involved rewriting the world, influencing or rewriting records.
'This magic does involve laws, and even Fusion knows many laws,' Ian analyzed. 'More importantly, it seems to give the user some authority or privilege in the world.'
In the eyes of Ian, the owners of these real magics are like the GM in the game, possessing the ability or authority to modify the game or the world.
"Did you get what you wanted?" Zelretch asked.
"Yes, thank you," Ian nodded, turned and left.
"Who are you, Arcane Emperor?" Zelretch muttered to himself before going to see Tohsaka. They agreed on a designated time to start training. At the same time, Ian immediately started working on his magic research.
He took the opportunity to analyze Anti-Life Equation to further deepen his understanding of Law of Mind, and then he incorporated other laws such as Law of Knowledge, Law of Soul, and finally created Sixth Magic: Near-Omniscience.
"Let's try this thing." Ian immediately cast magic, and his mind left his body and entered a higher plane, where all records and knowledge exist - Source.
"It seems to have worked," he murmured calmly. Touching Source is the goal and ambition of all magicians, but he seemed quite calm about it all.
'I want to know what the relationship between this world and Akashic Records is?' He knew there must be some connection between them, but he didn't know what it was.
'Don't worry about it yet,' Ian said. Before leaving, he left a special Rune rune in Source. When his mind returned to his body, Ian found himself transformed into a humanoid computer with access to endless knowledge.
Anything he wants to know, he can get knowledge or answers from Source. If there is no ready answer, he can also perform calculations or deductions through huge data.
"The only drawback is that this thing puts a huge amount of pressure on my soul," he complained. He expected that the magic would have limitations, but he didn't expect it to be this serious.
"Let's complete our main goal first."
He immediately used new magic to analyze Ea and Chains of Heaven. He found that the power of Ea came from a certain primitive power that existed when the universe was born. This power contained the power of creation and destruction, which meant that it could restore Multiverse to its creation state or recreate it.
"All worlds have a Creation Period, or before the Big Bang. If I can harness it, I should be able to create a Eleventh Tier weapon," Ian muttered to himself, then turned his attention to Chains of Heaven. Its principle is similar to Ea, based on the concept that all gods originate from the same source. Since the chains are made from that source, they can naturally bind all gods.
"Very good. Cosmos, just wait for me to come back."
Ian is still not sure whether he can pass Time Game, so he needs to go to Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, during this time at Marvel Universe, he will be ready to deal with the bastard who dares to define him as a criminal.
"We'll wait and see who Judgment is in the end," he sneered.
Ian spent more than three years on this project, but he spent most of his time in the laboratory and only met Tohsaka and Sakura a few times during this period. Now that that was done, he still had a few things to do before leaving. His next step was to meet Scathach.
He found that there was no knowledge about Primordial Runes in Source, and there were only two explanations he could think of: either Scathach or Odin erased this knowledge from Source, or Source itself erased it from its own records in order to prevent the spread of this knowledge. After all, several magicians have stolen knowledge from Source, so it makes sense that it would hide some things from people.
Whatever the reason was, he needed an answer.
