"What do you think?" Odin asked as he walked with her to the bedroom.
"My eyes can't see much, so he should be very proficient in Anti-Divination and Clairvoyance," Frigga said. She was raised by witches, so she learned to see things that others couldn't.
"Then what did you see?"
"He's like a walking Demon Gods."
"What do you mean?"
"His body contains his own dimension and is filled with energy. So fighting him is like facing a Demon Gods, or even worse, because he has no restrictions."
"Have you detected how strong he is?"
"No. He does an excellent job of hiding his energy," Frigga replied. "However, intuitively, he reminds me of a lower Demon Gods."
Odin frowned. In his heyday, he didn't care about the subordinate Demon Gods at all, because he had killed many such creatures and even caused the change of these Demon Gods seats several times. However, he is now old and frail, his end is approaching, and more importantly, he has lost his original fighting spirit.
"It's not like in the past, you need to treat everyone as a threat," Frigga held his arm and comforted. "I'm just worried about Thor," Odin replied with a sigh. "I don't have much time, and he is still far from ready." When he said this, he looked into the distance. One of his crows sent him a picture.
"So, you are the mage from Midgard?" Thor asked, his face a little red because he drank too much wine.
"That's right," Ian replied while looking at his drink. He put his hand on top of the cup, and a ball of green liquid flew out from it and then dissipated. Then, he directly transmitted a message to Loki's mind. "Don't do such stupid things again."
This God of Mischief used Genjutsu to pretend that he was still sitting next to Ian, while his real body dropped something similar to Veritaserum in Ian's drink. Loki was shocked, because usually only his mother could see through his Genjutsu.
"Are you strong?"
"Better than you."
"Haha, what a loud tone," Thor roared, slamming his glass on the table. "Guys, did you hear that?" The other Asgardians laughed, especially Warriors Three who laughed the loudest. These drunk bastards seemed to find it very funny.
"Want to prove it?"
"Why not?"
Ian stood in the arena, holding two long swords designed for fast combat. At the same time, Thor brought his loyal Mjolnir. "Aren't you a mage?"
"Who said mages can't use weapons?"
"You have a point, but don't make excuses after losing. Now, I'm going to start." Thor no longer hesitated, rushed towards the opponent, swung the hammer and wanted to hit him. However, Ian stabbed him in the head even before Thor completed the attack. Thor turned his head to avoid and continued his attack.
However, despite the disparity in the size of the weapons, Ian used another sword to deflect the hammer. Then, he kicked Thor away several meters away.
"You are stronger than I expected." Ian always wanted to defeat Byakugan. If he had not limited his physical fitness to the same level as Thor, Thor would have died in one move. Currently, all attributes of Thor are between Tier 3 and level 4, and the defense power is Tier 5, which is close to the edge of Tier 6.
"It should be more interesting now," Thor said loudly, throwing Mjolnir with all his strength, while Ian calmly tilted his head to avoid it.
Thor rushed over, and when he got close to his opponent, the hammer had flown back into his hand. Ian moved his body again, dodging Accio's hammer from behind, and Thor seized the opportunity. As soon as he caught the hammer, he swung it over.
Ian moved faster than him, and the two swords went straight to his lower body. Thor reacted and moved one foot away, but the second sword still hit his other leg, destroying his center of gravity and causing him to fall to the ground. However, Thor instinctively rolled to the side and avoided Ian's attack. He supported the ground with one hand and kicked his opponent with both legs at the same time.
Ian quickly dodged the kick and fell into deep thought. 'His fighting skills are far superior to the top martial artists on the planet, but they are not outstanding in the grand scheme of things. However, I must praise his natural fighting instinct; he seems to be able to perfectly apply all the experiences he has learned in battle or war.'
Thor held back no longer and activated his magical powers. He raised his hammer to the sky, summoning a powerful bolt of lightning, which he then directed towards Ian. However, the latter nonchalantly raised a sword and absorbed the attack.
"What? Are you Thor too?"
"It's magic."
"Really? Let's see if you can take this move." Thor raised the hammer and summoned more lightning. However, Ian threw the sword casually, forcing Thor to stop moving and block. Ian rushed towards him, and Thor swung the hammer instinctively. Ian turned his head to avoid, and then lightly knocked on Mjolnir. Thor watched in horror as his weapon fell heavily to the ground.
"Come on, Mjolnir," he shouted, but nothing happened. "What did you do?" he asked in a Wrath tone.
"I sealed it."
"Then unlock the seal."
"If this were a real fight, would you ask your opponent to unarm you?"
Thor was speechless and suddenly became angry. So, he rushed forward and wanted to punch Ian, but Ian quickly swung his swords and cut off several nerves in Thor's body, making his arms unconscious. He looked at the frustrated Prince Asgard, "You were born with a powerful Law of Thunder energy source. Why don't you use it?"
"How can I use it without Mjolnir?" Thor asked through gritted teeth.
"Since your mother is so proficient in the secret arts and your father is so wise, I believe they must have told you that your power comes from your heart, and Mjolnir just helps you guide it. Don't tell me you think you are useless without it?"
Ian doesn't want to make a joke that Thor is "God of Hammers" instead of Thor, but it is true.
Thor looked at him in surprise. His parents had indeed told him so, especially when he was forced to go to school as a child. However, he had become so accustomed to channeling his power with Mjolnir that he had almost forgotten these words.
"I think this battle is over, don't you think?" Ian asked.
"Yes, you are the winner," Thor said in frustration. He lost his loyal Mjolnir, and his arms were useless. Ian dispersed the two swords, and then released a green light that healed Thor's arms.
He caught a glimpse of a crown in the corner of his eye, but ignored it. The party then continued. After proving himself a warrior and defeating their prince, Asgardians became even more enthusiastic about him.
In this universe, magic users are often looked down upon, although in fact the main difference lies only in the way they use their energy: warriors focus more on the internal use of special powers, while mages focus more on external applications.
The banquet lasted until late at night, and by then, only Ian and Loki were still awake. Ian didn't say much to him, but found a palace maid to take him to the palace. His trip to Asgard might have many directions, and he needed to ensure the best outcome.
"Do you think we should take away Mjolnir from Thor for a while?" Odin asked.
"That might be the best way," Frigga nodded. "However, after relying on that hammer for so many years, it is not easy for him to inspire his own power alone."
"What I'm more worried about is whether he will be mature enough to use them responsibly once he masters these powers," Odin sighed and continued walking towards the palace.
