Ian explained the plan to Odin and Frigga, and after they accepted it, he started. The first step was to refine a Potions to deal with Odin's Faith Poison.
The toxins have penetrated deeply into the bone marrow, so it is impossible to completely remove them. Therefore, Ian chose the plan of concentrating most of the toxins in one part and then removing that part of the body.
He wasted no time and started working immediately. Odin allowed him to use Asgard's resources because he needed to modify the Potions formula to suit the needs of this world, and he did not want to use his own materials. A week later, Potions was finished brewing, and Odin drank it. His right arm turned dark purple and was subsequently amputated by Ian.
The next step is to upgrade Odin's Sleep's dormitory. This process exposes him to this highly advanced Asgard technology, which will greatly benefit him and Empire. Once successfully upgraded, this dormitory can maintain Soulfire's physical functions while Odin resuscitates him.
For this session, Ian enchanted the room with the hibernation pod. He even connected these enchantments to Soul Stone to provide ample energy for the session.
"As you know, the final step of this treatment is to change your genetic code so that you become a Pure Energy Lifeform body," Ian explained. "Before starting that step, I left you a virtual reality headset for you to practice or simulate the process. Please take advantage of it."
He is very interested in the final transformation of Odin. For many reasons, he gave up the path of transformation into a half-energy, half-flesh life form, but still created spells to transform himself into an energy creature when necessary. Therefore, he is very interested in the data of Odin's transformation.
"Once again, I can't thank you enough for everything you have done for me, my family and Asgard," Odin said extremely sincerely. He has already tried the upgraded hibernation cabin and the soul resuscitation process, and can already feel the effects.
Although he didn't know if it would be completely successful, he had hope - and it was the most optimistic thing he could say since Ian came to his country.
"It doesn't matter. It's all about the future."
"Yes, for the future."
"Where are you going next?"
"Nidavellir. I want to meet Dwarves. Then, I will come back and take the prince to Earth."
"I wish you a safe journey and I apologize in advance for anything my son may do in the future."
Ian nodded and left. He spent about a month at Asgard, but only stayed at Dwarves for two weeks.
He met their king Eitri, drank with them, and exchanged blacksmithing and enchanting techniques.
Ian realizes that these Dwarves have real abilities, because their achievements in some fields are no less than his, mainly in the creation of a single Divine Artifact.
Although the Dwarvess cannot match him in terms of complex systems (such as Netheril), they surpass him in making individual weapons such as swords, spears, or other magical tools.
So, he made sure to build good relationships with them for better collaboration and even exchange of knowledge in the future. For now, though, he mainly focused on building good relationships.
After returning to Earth with Loki, he took Loki to see his room.
"What is this?" Prince Asgard asked.
"Your room and Wi-Fi password?"
"You expect me to sleep in such a cramped place?"
Ian looked at him. "Are you here to study, or are you here to experience a luxurious vacation?"
"I just think it's unfair. Look at how much effort Asgard put into receiving you, and then compare it with how you treat me."
"What can I say? We Midgard mages live a more pure and minimalist lifestyle. Also, what are you complaining about? I know for sure that you have lived in extremely harsh environments during some of your expeditions with Thor and Warriors Three."
"That's different."
"Unfortunately for you, either accept it or get out," Ian said and left. Loki snorted to show his dissatisfaction. The next morning, Ian summoned him for the first training. He ignored God of Mischief's displeasure and went straight to the topic.
"Do you know your identity?"
"Identity? What do you mean?"
"You are not the biological flesh and blood of Odin and Frigga. You are an abandoned Frost Giant who was saved by Odin."
"What nonsense are you talking about?" Loki asked, really doubting whether this man was crazy. But Ian pointed at him, and his skin immediately turned blue, and his body released a cold mist.
"No way! What did you do to me?"
"I believe your parents must have said something to you before you left."
Loki's body froze because he recalled: his father said he loved him after apologizing to him. His mother told him to open his heart to accept Ian's teachings and be more tolerant.
"No, no, no... this can't be happening."
"This is a fact."
"Hahaha," Loki laughed, with mockery and madness in his laughter. "A lot of things make sense now. That favoritism, alienation, and his contempt for me." The pain in his voice was obvious, and the pain was quickly replaced by Wrath and hatred.
"The worst part is, that coward didn't even have the guts to tell me himself."
"Do you think your father never loved you?"
"Isn't it obvious? He only used me as a diplomatic means to appease Frost Giant. I never had the chance to inherit the throne, but he pretended that I had." Loki's eyes were red and he gritted his teeth.
"I agree with you that this is indeed a terrible decision made by your father, but to say that he doesn't love you? Then you are totally wrong."
"If this is how he expresses his love - then I don't want it."
"Your mother knows the truth and is an accomplice in covering up this lie. Do you think she doesn't love you too?"
"Don't mention my mother!" Loki roared, conjuring two daggers and attacking. The daggers disappeared before they touched Ian, and chains appeared out of thin air from the ground, binding Loki, hindering his magic and actions.
"I know this is a hard truth to face, but it is a necessary part of your training."
"What kind of training is this?"
"Body, mind and soul are the three main parts necessary for a mage to truly reach the pinnacle of his craft. As a Frost Giant--"
"I am Asgardians."
"There is nothing wrong with your body and soul, but your mind... let's put it this way, describing it as fragile and twisted is an understatement."
Loki Wrath stared at him.
"Let's get back to the point. Do you think your mother loves you?" Loki didn't answer. "Don't make me cast a truth spell on you. I guarantee you will never want to experience the feeling of revealing your deepest secrets or embarrassing moments."
Loki still said nothing, so Ian raised his hand.
"Okay, I say."
"I'm listening."
"I... I don't know if she still loves me after covering up such a lie."
"Think of all the time you spent together - all the good and bad times. Do you think none of that was sincere?" Loki didn't answer, not out of some kind of rebellion, but because he really didn't know the answer.
"I'm going to show you what your future would be like if I didn't show up and disrupt the timeline. Tell me how you feel after watching it."
Ian pointed at Loki's forehead and allowed his spirit Divine Body to experience some of the events that had happened to Earth-616. After everything he had experienced, including his death and everyone he knew and loved, Loki seemed to be in a trance.
"That's not true, is it? Tell me none of this is going to happen."
"Our timeline has deviated from its original trajectory, but that doesn't mean these things won't happen. Some events, known as Temporal Nexus, are completely inevitable."
"What--"
"Don't worry about that. How do you feel now after experiencing another life?"
