"What do you want to do now?" Morgana asked while showing him a list. Ian's mouth twitched and he sighed.
He glanced at it, and something quickly caught his attention. "Chaos Magic? That should be interesting." He teleported to the body of Wanda from Earth-125.
Her body floated in the center of the room surrounded by countless magic circles. Ian first summoned the data collected from her body and immediately started testing.
A flash of red light appeared in his hand, and with a thought, he created a jet of flame. Ian waved his hand, turning the room into a zoo, and then with another thought, he turned it into a desert.
"A very powerful form of magic," Morgana commented.
"I don't like it."
"Seriously?" Morgana looked at him in shock. "I never thought that I would see magic that you don't like in my lifetime."
"And Divine Arts."
"That doesn't count," Morgana retorted. "So, why don't you like it? What's the problem?"
"Just like its name, this kind of magic has no rules and regulations. If you can contact Chaos Dimension deeply enough and extract enough Chaos energy, you can shape reality according to your own wishes. This is not magic, but more like a distortion of reality cloaked in magic."
"Your argument is flawed because magic can also be described as a form of reality manipulation," Morgana said.
"I prefer to define it as an act of creating miracles." Morgana turned over Byakugan, because he was just chewing on the words. "So, what are you going to do? Are you going to not use it because of your own preference?"
"That's stupid," Ian replied. "In fact, I just thought of a plan that will give us the greatest data yet on Tier 11's capabilities."
"Oh, I'm intrigued now."
"Do you remember in <Multiverse of Madness>, Wanda from Earth-616 was much more powerful than her variant?"
"Remember."
"Why do you think that is?"
"There are many reasons to explain it," Morgana replied. "She had Darkhold, and combined with her extreme sadness, it's normal for her to become much stronger. Also, Earth-616 was once Sacred Timeline, which means it's possible that this gave her some advantages."
"A very reasonable analysis," Ian nodded.
"Do you think I'm right? What's your explanation?"
"My deduction is that the title [Scarlet Witch] can only belong to one variant. The reason Wanda-616 is so powerful is because of this title."
Morgana immediately understood his plan and his eyes lit up. "You want to take this title away from her?"
"That's right."
"Wanda-616 is capable of destroying all Darkhold present in Multiverse, a feat that Tier 11 would have achieved. If you succeed... However, this plan is not as easy to pull off as you say. There are indications that only Wanda can become Scarlet Witch, which means that any outsider with access to Chaos Magic cannot take that position.
"We can get around this limitation by making a clone of Life Code based on Wanda. However, the most challenging part of this plan is: how to obtain the title, how to obtain Darkhold, and how to control such a powerful clone."
Ian nodded. "Getting the title is relatively easy. The source of Chaos Magic is Chaos Dimension, so we just need to raise our affinity for that dimension to a sufficient level - just like Barry did with Speed Force."
"This may work, but don't forget that once Wanda-616 is in Sacred Timeline Resurrection, she may take the position back."
"I have no doubt about it," agreed Ian.
"Then should we try to kill her before she Resurrection?"
"Do you think that's a good idea?"
"Probably not," Morgana replied. "It appears that a being like Chthon, the creator of Darkhold, desires her power, and perhaps even her soul. We must also consider whether God of Stories Loki would allow us to interfere in the affairs of Earth-616."
Ian nodded. Chthon is Demons of Tier 11, and God of Stories Loki is Tier 12, which means that they are all existences that he cannot cope with at the moment.
"Okay, so our plan is to use this clone to collect data on the strength of Tier 11," Morgana concluded. "The next step is how to obtain Darkhold. Wanda destroyed all copies, and our attempts to obtain copies for the past three years have failed."
"The answer to our remaining two questions is the same - the power of law," Ian replied. "We can give this clone a portion of my mastery over magic and allow it to use my Law of Time. It can then summon a copy of Darkhold from the stream of time."
Ian has tried this method before, but failed. However, he is now confident in this method because the clone will be supported by the entire Chaos Dimension.
"As for how we control the clone? The answer is the same - Law of Soul. Wanda is capable of those Tier 11 feats, but every other aspect of her existence - soul, body and Mind Stone - can be classified as ordinary. So, what we have to do is make sure that the clone doesn't go the same way as Arcane Path, but goes the same way as Wanda, and install a kill switch on its Divine Flame.
"As long as we don't tell it about it, we won't have a problem."
"In this case, we cannot give your memories to the clone, because that will create a suspicious character. It can have your knowledge, but not your character."
"There's no need to say that," Ian complained.
"Before this plan can begin, you still need to reach 10 points of willpower and regain control of your laws," Morgana compiled.
"Okay. Let's start immediately. You go make a clone, and I start to improve my willpower," Ian replied, and then suddenly thought of something. "Make the clone a male, give him a background as sad as Wanda, and call this project [Scarlet Wizard]."
"Why?"
"Once he loses his title, it would be too wasteful to eliminate him directly. So, we sent him to Earth-616 to see if he can pursue Wanda. Maybe we can secretly control her through him."
"Aren't you worried about playing with fire and burning yourself?"
"I'm concerned, but in the current chaos, we need to take bolder action if we want to have a chance of winning and surviving," Ian replied.
This world is a training ground for him to prepare for the coming war, so he needs to evolve and adapt. Otherwise, once he is really involved in the battle of Merlin, his usual conservative and safe methods may cause him to suffer big losses.
"Okay." Morgana started her work, while Ian walked towards the room containing the experimental Multiverse to enhance his willpower. "Oh, don't forget about Loki."
Ian needs to use the technique of Shadow Clone, leaving the clone to wait for Loki to come back and talk to him.
Ian began to experience the lives of trillions of people of different races, nationalities and even different species. He even experienced the life of single-celled organisms and the process of evolving into multi-cellular organisms and complex organisms.
All these memories should have overwhelmed his mind, but the purpose of this training method is to resist being assimilated or losing Self consciousness while experiencing all these lives.
The process was easy at first because his soul was so powerful. However, after trillions and more lifetimes, it became more challenging.
Once he experienced the life of every living being in 1 universe, he already began to struggle. However, he continued to experience in other universes in that small Multiverse.
Luck's thing is, this method worked. Ian can feel that his willpower is growing every minute, and he is only a little bit away from breaking through the last threshold.
