"Do you know what you look like to me?"

Ian frowned when he heard this.

"So much death," Death Lady said, with a hint of fascination in his tone.

'Death? I haven't killed many people since I came to this place. Can she detect how many people I have killed? Although this is a lot for an incarnation of death, I am sure that she has witnessed many more deaths than this,' Ian thought to himself, and then he suddenly thought of something. If he hadn't had strong control over his facial expressions, his face would have been distorted by shock at this moment.

"Billions of universes and timelines are forced to collide with each other, and trillions of lives die every second," Death Lady let out an almost groaning sigh when he said these words.

Ian's guess was correct - she knew "Speedster Plan". Ian immediately suppressed the murderous intention in his heart. He knew that Death Lady was at least the Tier 11, and there was more than 70% possibility of being the Tier 12 entity. Facing such a powerful force, he was powerless.

"Compared with what you have done, what Thanos has done is simply child's play," Death Lady praised.

"While I didn't do it specifically to please you, I'm glad you're happy with it, ma'am," Ian said.

"More than satisfied," Death Lady smiled, making the room bright again.

"Ma'am, you're not just here to compliment me, right? Even so, I still feel honored."

"That's one of the reasons," Death Lady admitted. "The second reason is that I want you to kill someone."

"Is there anyone in this world that your Highness cannot kill?" Ian asked.

"Choice and fate determine people's deaths," she replied calmly. "I exist only to ensure that the concept of 'death' exists in the universe."

'In other words, she is bound by the rules,' Ian thought. Countless thoughts flashed through his mind. With Morgana's computing power, his brain operates faster than even the best quantum computers or supercomputers.

Every word, every gesture, every facial expression, every fluctuation of momentum, and even countless tiny details have been carefully selected and disguised.

"Who to kill?"

Death Lady raised his hand and showed him a photo.

"Deadpool," said Ian.

"That's right," Death Lady nodded, not surprised that Ian recognized him. "I want you to get rid of him in as many timelines as possible. If you have the ability, completely erase him from all timelines."

Ian's brows furrowed deeper. "Can I ask why?"

"His presence is a nuisance to me and must be removed."

Since this meeting, Ian has been pondering her every word, every movement and body language, trying to analyze what choice to make next.

'What should we do?' Morgana asked in his mind.

'I want to take a risk.'

'What? Are you crazy? Just agree to her, so that we can buy time. At worst, we just escape from this Hell-like universe,' Morgana suggested. Her boss is usually very smart in handling such situations, so why did he act foolishly at this juncture?

'Remember what old Merlin said? I need to change my personality and take more risks,' Ian said. 'I can indeed escape from the world when I encounter danger, but once [that war] spreads to every corner of Omniverse, I will have nowhere to escape.'

Ian has always used this universe as his training ground to prepare for the coming war. This is why he devotes so much energy to protecting this world, even abandoning his previous reckless tactics.

Unless he has exhausted all means and tried every possible method to protect his timeline, he will never escape from this world. If he cannot change his mentality and the way he does many things, he will suffer a terrible blow when the real war begins.

Morgana sighed deeply. 'Okay, I support you.'

"I'm sorry, madam, but I cannot agree to this request."

Death Lady frowned. "Oh? Why is this?"

"You may not know that I am suspicious and paranoid by nature, which also makes me a control freak," Ian explained slowly. "I don't like things beyond my control."

"Are you unhappy that I spied on you and brought you here without your consent?"

"That's the least of my worries," Ian shook his head and explained. "With all due respect, I don't believe your reasons. Beings of your level won't care about an ant that annoys you. I don't need to think too much to understand that killing Deadpool will bring consequences that I can't foresee - consequences that I can't detect with my current strength."

"Honestly, I don't want to be involved in this level of karma."

Death Lady was silent for a moment. "What if I can protect you?"

"Ma'am," Ian replied with a smile.

"Yes, you said it yourself: you are suspicious by nature, how could you put your safety in the hands of others," Death Lady said, her voice not showing any dissatisfaction because of Ian's bad character. "In that case, let's try another way." She raised her hand and condensed a black magic ball, and Ian's pupils shrank suddenly.

"You should know what this is, right?" Death Lady asked, with a hidden confidence in his tone. "I can give you complete control over [Authority of Death]. For you, you may not care because it is someone else's power, but this is also your best chance to understand and master this rule."

Ian remained silent, trying to control the greed flashing in his eyes. 'Quick, boss, accept her proposal.'

"Let me sweeten the deal a little bit more," Death Lady continued. "I can even be your personal tutor."

'What are you waiting for?' Morgana said. 'Promise her.'

'Shut up.'

'Boss, this is no ordinary Bleach - she is the embodiment of death. There is no better teacher than her.'

'You heard what I said,' Ian ordered, sighing secretly in his heart. Why is this House-elf's character more greedy than his own? He took a deep breath to calm down.

"Madam, I can accept your proposal," Ian said. "But, I have a condition."

"Tell me and listen," Death Lady replied with a smile.

"I want to know the real reason why you want to kill Deadpool."

Death Lady's smile disappeared. She glanced at Ian, and suddenly, her fair and delicate skin turned purple, and her beautiful face turned into a skeleton.

Ian was not surprised by this change, because Death Lady usually looked like this in the comics, but the terrifying coercion suddenly released by her body scared him out of his wits. He felt as if his soul was carrying a planet on its back and was about to be crushed at any time.

"You have to know," Death Lady said slowly. "The rules prohibit me from killing people in this world, but you are different - you are an outsider. There will be no consequences for killing you."

"It will be my... honor to die in the hands of... Your Highness," Ian stammered. Death Lady looked at his eyes and saw only calmness without any fear of death. She snorted coldly, waved her hand, and Ian disappeared.

'Are you crazy? Why did you reject her?'

'She didn't intend to kill me,' Ian explained as he summoned a bottle of soul-nourishing potion. The potion immediately relieved his headache, but he still felt groggy.

'How did you know?'

'When I became Sorcerer Supreme and took that oath, I became a citizen of this universe - well, at least half a citizen. She could kill me, but there would be consequences - the consequences might be minimal compared to killing the natives of this world, but they would be consequences.'

'Is this why you take such a big risk?'

'Of course not,' Ian replied. 'More importantly, I inferred her mentality. She regards me as something that can bring great joy to her long and boring life, how could she kill me so easily? So, she will not hurt me until I can no longer bring her happiness and am no longer useful.'

'But once you are no longer useful, she will also get rid of you,' Morgana nodded.

'So, we need to gain the power to hurt her. At that point, she will have to weigh the consequences of killing us against the fact that we can threaten her life.'
