The reason his portals had kept opening in the wrong places before was that he had just started learning and could not pinpoint locations accurately. He had not expected Mordo to bring him a Sling Ring!

"The Sorcerer Supreme asked me to bring this to you. You should need it." As Luo Bai was thinking, Mordo suddenly explained.

Luo Bai did not answer. He simply accepted the Sling Ring and put it on.

"It was no trouble." Mordo answered calmly, then introduced himself. "I am the Sorcerer Supreme's disciple and an Archmage of Kamar-Taj. You are now considered a mage of Kamar-Taj as well, so we may see each other often in the future. Just call me Mordo."

Although Kamar-Taj did not have a strict hierarchy based on power, it still had rough titles.

For example, mage apprentices, mages, Sanctum mages, Archmages, and so on.

Generally speaking, only the few strongest were called Archmages. Mordo was one of Kamar-Taj's Archmages.

Given Gu Yi's character and strength, she could not possibly have forgotten to give him a Sling Ring—unless she had never intended to give him one in the first place.

Since she had not given him one before, why had she suddenly asked Mordo to bring one now?!

"Obadiah was the one you sent to Kamar-Taj, wasn't he?" As Luo Bai was thinking, Mordo suddenly asked.

Luo Bai stopped him and asked curiously, "Mordo, didn't the Sorcerer Supreme ask you to take me with you?"

Luo Bai had learned Kamar-Taj's magic, and Gu Yi had even given him a Sling Ring.

Normally, should he not be going to Kamar-Taj to continue studying?

But Mordo did not seem to intend to take him away. That did not make sense.

"The Sorcerer Supreme said that you should first learn the magic in the Supreme Compendium, then use this opportunity to gain experience in the outside world," Mordo explained.
