Polaris had always had mental health issues.

Now that they had triggered bad memories, her emotions instantly spiraled out of control.

But Professor X was good at comforting people.

Professor X spoke gently, trying to reason with Polaris.

"You think everything you have done will move them? No! It won't! They only want to completely control us mutants. They only want to turn us into their slaves!" Polaris snapped angrily.

Professor X froze and asked in confusion, "Why would you think that? That isn't the case."

"That isn't the case? Then why are they researching mutants? Why did they create devices that restrict our abilities? They capture us and study us. Isn't that to restrain us and turn us into slaves?" Polaris shot back.

Professor X fell silent.

After all, he knew about these people's actions, and he had communicated with them before.

"I have already been speaking with the higher-ups. Believe me, this matter will be resolved perfectly before long," Professor X said.

But Polaris clearly was no longer willing to believe him.

"I believed you once already, but what happened? You didn't save Bella, did you?!" Polaris berated him, her rage continuing to rise.

Seeing that she was about to lose control and fearing she might hurt someone.

Professor X's expression darkened as he used his telepathic abilities.

With that, he prepared to use his abilities once more to restrain Polaris.

He had underestimated Polaris's mental state while enraged, so he had not used much power earlier.

But now, Professor X had no intention of holding back.

Just as he was about to use his abilities again, Luo Bai spoke. "Polaris, calm down."

Those simple words instantly brought everything back to calm.

The moment the nearly out-of-control Polaris heard Luo Bai say "calm down," all her fury vanished at once.
