Qing Mo protected Qing Lin, joined the Desert Iron Mercenary Group, and led her into the desert seeking a wood-attribute magic beast. After learning Snake-People had seized an oasis, he joined the planned night assault and focused on the Hibiscus Snake’s Magic Core.

• Qing Mo defended Qing Lin from Stone Desert City’s townspeople, comforted her after the shopkeeper called her a monster, and promised she would not suffer the same harm as her mother.
• Qing Mo helped Xiao Ding save Xiao Li with a Resurrection Pill, then spent half a year guiding Qing Lin’s cultivation and building a home with her.
• Qing Lin recognized Luo Yi as her mother’s killer, and Qing Mo struck him before Xue Lan intervened and invited Qing Mo to join the Desert Iron Mercenary Group.
• Xiao Ding named Qing Mo Third Commander, and Qing Mo defeated Diao Zhen to earn the mercenaries’ respect.
• Qing Mo caught Datou and Heizi trying to find his home for Luo Yi, then forced them to carry false information to Luo Yi by making them take poison pills.
• Qing Mo and Qing Lin killed a Rock-Armored Sandworm in the desert and learned that Snake-People had seized a nearby oasis and killed Master Mu.
• Qing Mo attended Lu Sheng’s meeting, where Lu Sheng described the Snake-People’s forces and planned a night raid after reinforcements arrived.
• Qing Mo declined Black Face’s guerrilla group, told Qing Lin to hide nearby during the fight, and joined the mercenaries’ nighttime march toward the oasis.

Qing Mo and Qing Lin helped the Desert Iron Mercenary Group survive a Snake-People ambush, then used a ruse to draw out Luo Yi and destroy the Poison Dragon Mercenary Group’s leaders. The arc ended with the Sand Sea Giant Python wiping out the group’s reinforcements.

• Lu Sheng led the mercenaries in a surprise attack on the Snake-People camp, and Qing Mo helped Lin Xiao and Liu Shi kill the Mujin Snake and its leader.
• Qing Mo used the Mujin Snake’s Magic Core to help Qing Lin break through to Fighter, and she later tamed a Sand-Crowned Viper with her Jade Snake Triple-Flower Eyes.
• Qing Mo rescued Xiao Ding’s group from another Snake-People attack, then arranged for Datou and Heizi to lure Luo Yi out of Stone Desert City.
• Datou tricked Luo Yi into the desert, where Qing Lin used venomous snakes to torment him while Qing Mo waited for Luo Tai and Lin Qi to come looking for their son.
• Luo Tai entered the Poplar Forest alone, where Qing Mo and Qing Lin trapped him with venomous snakes and the Sand Sea Giant Python, which killed him after Qing Lin’s Scarlet-Scaled Sand Python poisoned him.
• Xiao Li killed Lin Qi after Xiao Ding weakened him, and Qing Mo and Qing Lin helped the Desert Iron survivors face the Poison Dragon reinforcements.
• Qing Lin commanded the Sand Sea Giant Python to attack the reinforcements, and after a hidden attacker killed Captain Yu, the python wiped out the Poison Dragon Mercenary Group.
