Falling Short, Taking a Day Off

I'd originally planned to update as usual tonight. I'd even boldly proclaimed in the group chat that I'd be updating early today. But after working all day, I really couldn't write anything satisfactory sitting in front of the computer. Even though I'd already thought through the later plot, the words that came out still felt somewhat dull and flavorless.

The backlog I'd built up from taking four days off after finishing the first volume had basically been exhausted. These past few days, I'd been posting however much I managed to write, and by today I was finding it a little hard to keep going, so I'm taking a day off to readjust.
