A year after Lin Yun and Anya became magical girls together, and until the day they entered the halls of marriage, Anya gave him chocolate every year.
At first, it was snacks bought from little roadside shops. Later, it became semi-finished products she processed herself with magical tools from the Kingdom. Later still, it was chocolate made entirely by hand, starting from the raw ingredients.
And among all the chocolates she had given him over the years, the one Lin Yun remembered most clearly was probably the year Anya first bought semi-finished products and shaped the chocolate herself.
"Hmm... it wasn't that I was being too picky. I was just genuinely a little confused."
Studying the chocolate he had taken from the gift box, Lin Yun at the time could not tell at all what Anya had made. "What is this chocolate supposed to be? A cane? A tree branch?"
—"Honestly, it's a sword!"
Anya cried out in mild annoyance, pointing at the two protrusions on the chocolate, one large and one small. "Look, isn't this the sword guard? Then this part higher up is the hilt, and this long part is the blade..."
"Is... is that so?"
Lin Yun narrowed his eyes and looked it over from every angle, but still could not reach the conclusion that "this thing is a sword." Yet seeing how enthusiastic Anya was, he could only agree. "If you say it's a sword, then it's a sword."
"It is a sword!"
Anya huffily slapped Lin Yun's arm. "And who criticizes whether a girl's Valentine's Day chocolate looks convincing or not? Shouldn't you be asking why I made it in the shape of a sword?"
"I think making it look more convincing would really help when you go looking for a boyfriend in the future..."
