The Magical Girl Mint called "Anthurium" stood at the center of her little group, standing out like a crane among chickens.
By "standing out like a crane among chickens," it was not that her demeanor was particularly exceptional. It was meant literally: she was rather tall.
Anthurium stood a full half a head taller than the companions beside her. By visual estimate, she was nearly a whole head taller than Lin Xiaolu, probably over 1.7 meters tall. Among examinees who were generally underage girls, she was unquestionably very statuesque.
Her magical outfit also carried a few characteristics of Ancient Donghua Prefecture. Her upper body was clad in an ivory-white, front-fastening long vest, with openings along the sides of the sleeves exposing her forearms and cuffs lightly dyed rouge red. Below, she wore a dark teal mamian skirt, its surface embroidered with floral patterns that formed a chain of heart-shaped hidden designs. The skirt's length was far from traditional, however; even the base of the hem only reached her knees. Combined with Anthurium's considerable height, she looked more like a dancer about to perform onstage than a Magical Girl.
Still, her shoulder-length yellowish-green hair and those unusually shaped irises, crimson hearts in appearance, gave her an even more fantastical look.
At that moment, the Magical Girl used her height over the others to direct her gaze toward Mint.
The sight surprised Lin Xiaolu a little. Did the two of them really know each other? Mint could run into acquaintances anywhere in the corridor—did this girl from Black Ash Dawn actually have such social skills?
Before she could revise her assessment of Mint internally, however, the Magical Girl codenamed Anthurium blinked her striking eyes and revealed a somewhat puzzled expression.
"Who are you?"
The atmosphere immediately stiffened, becoming somewhat awkward.
