Hello, readers. I'm Hu Yan, the author of this work.
Thank you for reading it. It is an honor to share my story with you through serialized web fiction. I sincerely hope you enjoyed what has come so far, as well as the story still to come.
The fact that I was willing to start writing a novel already showed that I had a strong desire to express myself. For the first premium-launch message of my life, I actually wanted to cram in all sorts of thoughts, but after giving it some consideration... never mind. Wouldn't it be better to spend that time writing more of the actual story?
All that remained was to introduce myself and talk a little about my typing career—I would rather not tarnish the word "writing." During my student years, I wrote some free fanfiction based on anime under other pen names on Qidian. Back then, fanfiction was not allowed to go premium. Although I could be considered an old hand in terms of how long ago I entered the field, the fanfiction-oriented writing I relied on back then never trained me well in plot structure or pacing. After so many years away from writing, my prose and ability to reason through a story had only regressed rather than improved, which made me rather ashamed. So let me shamelessly call myself a novice writer for now.
This work, After Work, Then Become a Magical Girl, or as I originally intended to call it, A[LI]CE, was in fact a challenge and experiment for myself. I prepared a relatively complete outline and setting for it,
