Chen Long shook his head. He had not seen Lu Chengchuan's detailed file, and even if he had known, he could not have said anything. Qin Sheng and Li Ming did not know the Investigation Bureau existed, nor had their master ever mentioned it.

He and the captain had come as friends. Qin Sheng and Li Ming only knew that much.

The terrifying monster, over three meters tall, stood before him. Lu Chengchuan was nearly one meter ninety, making him fairly tall, but before the monster, he looked like a child.

The huge bone claws slashed toward him. Lu Chengchuan retreated to evade them. As the monster pressed closer, he dodged several more attacks in succession before seizing an opening and punching it in the stomach.

He put all his strength into that punch, bolstered by Inner Energy. The monster's stomach had no bone armor protecting it, and the blow directly burst its abdomen apart, spraying foul-smelling blood and flesh everywhere.

The monster flew backward again. Lu Chengchuan flicked the blood off his fist. As the wounded monster struggled to rise, he rushed after it and drove his foot hard into its knee.

The bone armor on its knee shattered. The monster dropped to one knee, then was knocked flat by another punch.

As the monster fell, Lu Chengchuan clenched his fist and smashed it hard into its head.

Its head was protected by bone armor. Lu Chengchuan used all his strength and hammered it four or five times, sending great chunks of bone armor falling away and exposing the monster's vulnerable brain to the air.

Lu Chengchuan drove a fist into the red-and-white mass. Its fragile head exploded at once, and its wildly flailing claws drooped weakly. It was completely dead.

The system's voice soon rang out. The monster was stronger than a low-level zombie, so killing it granted more lifespan. Once he confirmed it was dead, Lu Chengchuan stood up and looked for the next monster.
