I opened a teleportation passage to Nabu Island.
More precisely, to the prison.
Although I wanted to go directly to the Second Research Institute on the island's southern shore, I had never visited that place in the New World, so I had no way to teleport there directly.
The New World couldn't directly use the Old World's coordinates, so every place I had been to needed to be revisited before I could go there again. That was also why I couldn't head straight to Lunar City. It was like starting a second playthrough after all the fast-travel points had been wiped—reasonable, yet incredibly frustrating.
The prison was much the same as before. It had originally been Sirius's private vacation island, but now it held all the Monsters and Modified Witches under the Supreme Council.
Though they were all Magical Girls now.
Still, they were war criminals who had started the conflict. Even in the New World, they couldn't begin new lives. They hadn't been sentenced to death, but their decades-long sentences were more than enough to make them spend the rest of their lives repenting on this island.
After all, the Magical Girls of the New World weren't immortal. Perhaps prisoners with good enough behavior might even get to leave prison and see the world before they died?
"We went straight from the middle of the night to broad daylight..."
Mono muttered, hands on her hips as she looked up at the Hawaiian sun.
"I'll open the way from here!"
She had lived with Aldebaran and the others in the New World for some time, so she could directly open a teleportation passage to the Second Research Institute. The New World didn't have enough magic power for long-distance teleportation, but short-range teleportation within the same island was still possible.
However,
