Miss Terra's voice sounded in my mind.
"How would we know without trying? Are you asking me to just accept that Miluno is gone? Sirius is right. As long as there's even a shred of hope, I won't give up... I'm going to save Miluno. This time, it's my turn to protect her!"
My magic wasn't merely defensive. Defense was just one application; at its core, my magic was filtration... I would filter both Miluno and Mono out of the "Great Blood's body."
"Is something like that even possible?"
"As long as I believe, I can do it. Miss Terra, my magic is very much a matter of mind over matter!"
To save Miluno, I couldn't keep staying in the rear, protected by everyone else.
I tightened my grip on the Trident and stepped forward to face the "Great Blood."
"..."
Seemingly surprised that I was no longer running away, the "Great Blood" stopped as well.
"Now that you've absorbed Miluno, you must have enough intelligence to communicate, right? Before we fight, can you tell me what you're trying to achieve?"
I tried asking her a question, but the "Great Blood" gave no response.
I was certain she understood what I meant...
Did she consider my questions beneath her?
