Lay the Groundwork Before Testing the Waters

Form a conjecture, propose a hypothesis, then test it scientifically. That was what Su Tianqing considered the proper approach.

The conjecture and her planned method of testing it might not seem very reliable, but it was still the best way she had to find out whether she was right.

"But why Yelan and Aurora?" Nan Jiayu asked curiously.

As she saw it, if they wanted to test a conjecture, they should bring out the heavyweights. They could tell Shasha about Red Rose and Mercury's exploits, enthusiastically recommend recordings of Inari's recent TV appearances, or recount a whole string of stories about Sister Ye.

If necessary, they could even go through Scarlet Snow's achievements before she retired. But if they did that... Nan Jiayu couldn't help imagining the spectacle that might appear in the Phantasm Dream Mindscape afterward:

Two fox girls would hold the rear while Red Rose directed everything from the center. Mercury and Scarlet Snow would strike from either flank. All three people in the world who could use a Mindscape would be gathered in one place. Their fighting power would be off the charts.

They would surely have endless surprises in store for Garuda.

But if they used those two companions of hers instead... It wasn't that she doubted Fenrir's ability to send Jörmungandr flying with one slap, or Alice and Little Jack's combined capabilities. It just didn't feel as formidable as assembling the old guard.

"It's only a preliminary test," Su Tianqing answered cautiously. "I'd rather go in with people I know first and see what happens. That would be safer."

"If that's the plan... it actually sounds pretty good." Nan Jiayu thought for a moment, then nodded.

Shasha and Sparrow Dad burned two large sticks of incense before the hall. Hua Ling returned from admiring the
