Background / History

Xia Taotao became a magical girl after finding a Guardian Star on her own. When her magic power later ran low, Heartmoon Fox took her in, and she became one of the fox's companions alongside Hellcat. 619

At her public debut, the Hero Association designated her a villain and assigned the codename Cheshire Rabbit. Heartmoon Fox publicly accepted responsibility as her senior and promised to train her after an incident involving Cheshire Rabbit's poor magic control. 95

Before joining the squad, Xia Taotao was already a devoted magical-girl fan. She collected rare merchandise, made journals, and was particularly fascinated by the less polished, private sides of magical girls rather than their public image. 423 425

As Cheshire Rabbit, she becomes far more confident. Role-playing, combat, and villain activities let her command NPCs, address others directly, and act without the same visible anxiety.
