Looking at the delicate handwriting on the note, Nan Jiayu was at a complete loss.

On the very first day of her freshman year, she had been late for an entire class. She had only rushed in during the second period, when the classroom was nearly out of seats.

Then she happened to spot a fluffy little Golden Fox curled up in the corner. Curious, she had gathered her courage and approached.

She never expected to be hit with such a devastating opening move.

The petite catgirl's cheeks flushed bright red. The refusal she had instinctively wanted to give caught in her throat, and after stammering for a long while, she only managed an incomplete reply.

The adorable little fox before her wore a brilliant smile, radiant as the bright moon, dazzling Nan Jiayu so much she could barely keep her eyes open.

Remembering the strange Foxfolk tradition of all taking the surname Su, Nan Jiayu did not think much of the name.

"Nan Jiayu. Nice to meet you."

"That's a lovely name."

Seeing those words on the screen, the catgirl's fingers trembled violently twice. The fur on her cat tail puffed up in a ring, and even the tip of her nose was tinged red.

"Thanks." After a long silence, she finally typed those two words with trembling fingers.

After class, Su Tianqing gently waved as she watched the petite catgirl, red-faced as she said goodbye, leave the classroom.
