Before long, Ji An received a summons and led his team to Liu Baiyue's office.

After several days of recuperation, their injuries had mostly healed. Each of them was full of vigor, their faces glowing with health.

"Mr. Ji, the Zombie King of Jiangbei City has appeared on the outskirts," Liu Baiyue said bluntly.

"Oh?"

Ji An raised an eyebrow. If the Zombie King was alone, this was a good opportunity.

"He actually dared to show up by himself. Looks like he's very confident."

"Yes. According to the data sent back by the Augmented Humans, that Zombie King really has reached Double-S Rank."

Liu Baiyue spoke.

She was not particularly heartbroken over the Augmented Humans' deaths. After several days of experiments, they had already gathered plenty of data.

They discovered that the Third-Generation Augmented Humans had obvious weaknesses and could even be called defective products. Though they had strong camouflage abilities and could rapidly regenerate, their liquid metal could not conduct elemental energy.

In other words, they could not use abilities such as Ice Type or Fire Type, greatly reducing their combat power.

Liu Baiyue believed that if they developed Fourth-Generation Augmented Humans, they could improve them through a solid-liquid hybrid approach.

Hearing that Lin Dong was Double-S Rank, Ji An frowned. Sure enough, the more one feared something, the more likely it was to happen. Murphy's Law had struck again.

Ji An remained confident.

He was only half a rank below the Zombie King, and he had teammates to help him. That was enough to bridge the gap between them, giving them every chance of fighting it.
