Upon learning that Lin Dong had returned in triumph, all the zombies were thrilled. Tank and the other seven Zombie Kings stood at the very front, along with Zombie Tiger Little White, each radiating a fierce aura.
Of course, Flared Ears, Mist, and the other "Four Overlords" were there as well.
"While I was gone, nothing happened in the territory, right?" Lin Dong asked.
"Nothing much. The zombies from the provincial capital kept coming over to harass us, but we beat them all back!" Tank said with a foolish grin.
Doctor took over.
"They've been going to the shelters and Tech Company facilities more often lately. They've rarely come our way."
"Mm, that's good."
Lin Dong nodded.
Just as he had analyzed, Night Fiend, the Provincial Capital Zombie King, was not yet ready for a decisive battle, so he would not come to raid their base.
"Oh, right. Have you found out what they've been plotting behind the scenes?"
"Boss, I used Fungal Mimic Birds to overhear some information."
Little Mushroom stepped forward. "Night Fiend once breached the provincial capital's Tech Company. Some large-scale technological equipment there did not self-destruct. Apparently, they received radio signals from outer space."
"And they were radio signals used specifically for zombie communication. Humans cannot decipher them at all. Perhaps Night Fiend received some sort of guidance, which was why he arranged to fight us in two months."
"Outer space... signals?"
Lin Dong was surprised to hear that. It did sound rather novel.
If they were ordinary signals, it would not be all that strange.
