Little Mushroom walked forward as the howling night wind swept through the City of the Apocalypse, letting out mournful wails like wolves crying and ghosts howling.
A moment later, a fierce aura came from the pitch-black street ahead, mixed with bursts of savage roars.
"What is that?"
Little Mushroom felt uneasy and quickly stopped, focusing her gaze ahead. In the alley shrouded by the blackness of night, pairs of eerie green eyes lit up.
"Grrr~~~~ Woof! Woof woof woof!"
They were Zombie Hounds. Low growls rumbled from their throats. Their faces were savage, their bodies covered in bloody scars, making them look especially hideous as they barked wildly.
"So fierce."
Little Mushroom muttered to herself. These Zombie Hounds were far stronger than ordinary Low-Tier Zombies and could be considered Elite Tier.
Their noses were sharp as well. Though not as keen as Flying Hound's, they seemed to have sensed that something was off.
Little Mushroom did not dare approach. She quickly detoured from a distance, counting the Zombie Hounds as she went. When the battle began, this would all be vital intelligence.
"Please call me Mushroom Agent..."
As she avoided the Zombie Hounds, towering buildings rose around her. Skyscrapers over a hundred stories tall stood densely packed together, one after another, like birdcages.
She had clearly reached the urban district. This had been a prosperous area before the apocalypse, and Elite Tier zombies had begun appearing nearby. Quite a few had already evolved intelligence.
"Eh? Big Head, why are you here? Didn't you go get revenge on the Jiangbei City zombies tonight?"
"Is that any of your business? Get lost. You sure have a lot of crap to say!"
Little Mushroom snapped at him directly.
"Uh..."
The elite underling froze, thinking, *What's going on? Did Big Head swallow gunpowder today?
